For anyone who's ever dreamed of dining with Gordon Ramsay or been captivated by his culinary flair on screen, this evening was a dream come true. On October 22nd, we had the pleasure of hosting an exceptional wine dinner at the renowned Gordon Ramsay Bar & Grill in Sunway City, KL.

With the elegant ambiance setting the stage, we celebrated the exquisite wines of Chateau de Beaucastel, a prestigious estate in the Southern Rhône owned by the renowned Famille Perrin. Guided by Famille Perrin’s Brand Ambassador, Florian Garrigues, guests indulged in a beautifully crafted four-course menu, each dish expertly paired with iconic Beaucastel wines.

Famille Perrin, one of France’s most respected wine families, is the proud owner of Chateau de Beaucastel, a legendary estate in the Southern Rhône known especially for its Châteauneuf-du-Pape. With centuries of winemaking expertise, Famille Perrin brings out Beaucastel’s unique terroir through traditional practices and a commitment to organic viticulture. Welcome Drinks & Canapés: Famille Perrin 'Reserve' Cotes du Rhône White

The evening began with a refreshing Famille Perrin ‘Reserve’ Cotes du Rhône White, setting a bright and lively tone for the event. This wine, known for its crisp acidity and notes of citrus and orchard fruits, was an inviting prelude, pairing effortlessly with an array of elegantly crafted canapés. Each sip of the Reserve Cotes du Rhône White cleansed the palate, preparing guests for the courses to come.

First Course: Hokkaido Scallop – Famille Perrin 'Les Sinards' Châteauneuf-du-Pape White

For the first course, the Hokkaido scallop’s delicate sweetness and the creamy Delica pumpkin were complemented by the aromatic richness of the Famille Perrin 'Les Sinards' Châteauneuf-du-Pape White. This wine’s complexity, with notes of stone fruits and a touch of minerality, balanced the dish’s earthy truffle accents, bringing each element into perfect harmony.

Second Course: Lamb Ribeye – Coudoulet de Beaucastel Cotes du Rhône

Moving into heartier flavors, the second course featured a tender lamb ribeye served with dukkha spices, smoky aubergine, and a robust romesco sauce. The pairing choice, Coudoulet de Beaucastel Cotes du Rhône, showcased bold red fruit, herbal undertones, and a smooth tannic structure complemented the lamb’s spices, adding depth and elevating the savory flavors of the dish.

Main Course: Hanwoo Sirloin – Chateau de Beaucastel Châteauneuf-du-Pape 2020

The main course was the highlight of the evening—a succulent Hanwoo sirloin, paired with black garlic, confit onion, and a rich Bordelaise jus. This course was perfectly matched with the Chateau de Beaucastel Châteauneuf-du-Pape 2020, a wine with bold dark fruit flavors and hints of spice. The wine’s smooth tannins and depth enhanced the savory, umami notes of the sirloin, creating an unforgettable pairing. This was truly a course where the food and wine complemented each other beautifully, leaving a lasting impression.

Sweet Ending: Kota Marudu Dark Chocolate Delice – Chateau de Beaucastel Châteauneuf-du-Pape 2009

Ending the evening on a sweet note, the dessert course featured a rich dark chocolate delice with pomelo and cardamom ice cream. Paired with the Chateau de Beaucastel Châteauneuf-du-Pape 2009, the wine’s mature notes of dried fruit and spice contrasted beautifully with the dessert, rounding off the evening with finesse.

Throughout the night, the room buzzed with energy—guests savored each pairing, exchanged stories, and discovered new favorite wines. It was more than just a dinner; it was a memorable experience, made special by the shared joy of incredible food and wine.
