Reserva Real 是在国王唐胡安卡洛斯于 1995 年参观酒庄后创立的，当时国王品尝了西班牙最独特、产量最有限的葡萄酒之一。每年，位于 Alt Penedes 的 Medlona 葡萄园仅生产约 2,000 瓶葡萄酒。葡萄园的特别之处在于其非典型的板岩土壤，这可以促进和增强葡萄的成熟度和浓度。葡萄酒经过 30 天的浸皮，并在新的法国橡木桶中陈酿 18 个月。
