奥肯特轩酒厂位于苏格兰低地克莱德河畔。它是苏格兰为数不多的三重蒸馏威士忌的酒厂之一。三重蒸馏可以去除威士忌中最后一点杂醇油和其他不想要的气味。你很少能买到口感尖锐、浓烈的奥肯特轩威士忌。

该酿酒厂由一位名叫约翰·布洛赫 (John Bulloch) 的人于 1800 年建造。他将酿酒厂命名为 Duntocher 酿酒厂。

1822 年 Duntocher 酒厂破产后，他的儿子接手经营，并于 1823 年注册成立了 Auchentoshan 酒厂。从此 Auchentoshan 酒厂成为英国合法酒厂。因此 Auchentoshan 酒厂正式成立的日期是 1823 年。之前的所有生产都无法得到官方证实。
