Torre Penelas 'Pazo Das Bruxas' Albarino

Shipping calculated at checkout.
Pazo Das Bruxas is a wine that pays homage to Galician folklore and nature. Legend has it that in pazos surrounded by forests and vineyards, Galician witches conjured up spirits with dances and enchantments. This is how the sap ascended through the vines, feeding them with its energy, like the Albariño grapes that give life to this wine. Bright, brilliant gold colour. Seductive floral (honeysuckle) and fruit (lemon rind, tangerine) aromas. Silky and juicy on the palate with exquisitely elegant, fragrant fruit persistence. Long and intense. An excellent aperitif. Good with raw, cooked or grilled seafood. Pairs perfectly with mild, white fish. Its lively palate strikes a perfect balance with soft goat cheeses. Andreas Larsson: 90Pts; James Suckling: 90Pts

The Torres surname has been linked to wine for more than three centuries, when the family first planted vines in the Penedes. Since it was founded in 1870, Bodegas Torres has combined tradition and innovation with the aim of leading the premium quality wine and brandy sector. In doing so, the company has always carried out its work with the utmost respect for the environment, lead by the 5th generation of the family.

Right from the beginning, exports have been one of the main pillars of the company, and nowadays Torres wines can be found in more than 150 countries. Thanks to countless effort to have Spanish world recognized, Familia Torres has been named Europe’s most admired brand for nine years by beverage magazine Drinks International and Miguel A. Torres is one of the few Spanish producers to have been named Decanter Man of the Year.

The Torres family's philosophy of winegrowing begins with respect for the land. "We live from the earth and we are a family-owned company, so this combination leads us to care for our land and resources — not just for this generation, but also for future generations", says Miguel A. Torres. Torres completely avoids the use of chemical treatments, replacing them with biological alternatives, following the viticulture traditions of Torres' ancestors.
