Domaine chanson Pommard

Renowned for centuries, Pommard is one of the most iconic appellations of the Côte de Beaune. Produced exclusively in red, this wine embodies the power and structure of the great wines of Burgundy.  Careful selection of grapes, followed by partial de-stemming (50%), and 5 days pre-fermentation cold maceration. Fermentation in stainless steel tanks, with punching down and pumping over adapted to each appellation and vintage to extract color and aromas. Gentle gravity pressing. Aged on fine lees in French oak barrels (25% new, 1 to 6 years old, 228L) for 17 months.  

Deep ruby. Intense aromas of ripe red fruit (raspberry and cherry) with hints of raspberry liqueur and spices. Well-structured and complex. Intense fruit. Delicate, deep texture with well-crafted tannins. Good length with notes of jammy fruits.  Great with roasted, grilled or marinated red meats, game birds and game animals.
