Oak-aged for 24 months, this shows a clear ruby red color. On the nose, the attack is fruity and floral at the same time with hints reminiscent of blackcurrants, blueberries and raspberries; floral notes reminiscent of violets and dog roses follow. This is followed by spicy notes reminiscent of black pepper, cloves and star anise. Delicate tertiary notes and freshness given by balsamic and citrus scents are also interesting. The palate reveals a nice acid-alcoholic component and the tannic texture is well present, dense and silky.

2016 only brought 2,059 bottles of Mas de la Rosa. the wines was aged in French barrels for 16 months, Very fresh and sumptuous, very unlike most Priorats. Polished, very long and exceptionally fresh. Miguel Torres Maczassek is clearly very proud of this new, fresh style: ‘it’s all about fruit character’.

This comes from 50- to 90-year-old vines and is a blend of 79% Cabernet Sauvignon, 11% Cabernet Franc and 10% Merlot. The 2017 Leoville Las Cases is deep garnet-purple in color, and wow, the nose bursts with beautiful blackcurrant cordial, blackberry pie and blueberry preserve notes followed by hints of lilacs, dark chocolate, cedar chest, sassafras and licorice with emerging wafts of oolong tea, lavender and iron ore. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is an exercise in elegance and soft-spoken nuances within a mouth-coating palate of almost electric black and blue fruits, framed by very firm, exquisitely ripe, fine-grained tannins and seamless freshness, finishing epically long and wonderfully perfumed.

The nose offers gorgeous aromas of blueberries, cherries, and violets framed by light notes of nuts, fine pastry, and a lingering touch of truffle that lends elegance. It is fresh and juicy and full of life, with elegant, fine-grained tannins that are both firm yet delicate and speak of a wine with tremendous ageing potential.

Crafted from organically-grown grapes
The organically-grown Don Miguel Vineyard – Named after the late patriarch of the Torres family, this sustainable vineyard is located in the Green Valley — the coolest, foggiest region of the Russian River Valley, only ten miles from the Pacific. Planted in the European-style high density of over 2,000 vines/acre, the yields are low and labor is intensive; but the vines live longer and the grapes acquire better balance and greater concentration, as well as more elegance and finesse. After undergoing 100% malolactic fermentation, the wine was aged on its lees for nine months.
Lovely nose, intense and floral, reminiscent of Meyer lemon and orchard fruit like pear and apple. The palate is fresh and elegant, intense and mineral, with nicely framed oak and a touch of vanilla; the mouthfeel is creamy and long, with notes of biscuit, pie crust and meringue. Delightful to drink right now but it will continue to develop and last for at least 15 to 20 years.

The complex and harmonious combination of aromas of this elegant, noble wine elevate it to truly world-class status. Beautiful golden yellow in colour. Very intense, complex aroma with notes of fruit (citrus and peach compote) over a very fine background of vanilla. Oily and very big on the palate with superb acidity, pleasantly expressing the fruity notes of the aroma.

An astonishing effort from the Rothschild family, the 2009 l’Evangile may be the reference point offering from this estate for decades to come. A blend of 95% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Franc aged in 100% new oak, with 15% natural alcohol, it exhibits a sumptuous bouquet of caramels, black raspberry liqueur, blackberries, violets, graphite and truffles. Thick, viscous flavors are reminiscent of such super-ripe vintages as 1982, 1959, 1949 and 1947.
The striking aromatics, massive, full-bodied mouthfeel and multilayered palate that resembles a skyscraper in the mouth offer an abject lesson in great winemaking, extraordinary terroir, and the ability to combine power with precision, elegance and freshness. This is unquestionably a huge wine, but it also possesses mind boggling complexity and finesse.

A beautiful, Classic Chablis: light, crisp, mineral and without oak, with a nicely developed bouquet with lingering aromas of flower and citrus. Opens with lightly spiced, white orchard fruits with a fresh mineral touch. On aeration, a subtle, mineral note appears. Good persistence. Fresh and full in the mouth with a delicate mineral tension. Long mineral finish. A superb Chablis with great character.

Vinification takes place in oak fermenters for the reductive varieties (Mourvedre, Syrah) and in traditional enameled concrete tanks for the Oxidative grapes (all the others). Once the malolactic fermentation is finished, the Famille Perrin blends the different varieties. The blend is then aged in oak Foudres for a year before being bottled.
The 2020 Beaucastel has lots of Mourvèdre character in its bright red and blue fruits as well as spice, pepper, and assorted meaty nuances. With medium to full-bodied richness on the palate, it shows the fresh, elegant, yet still nicely concentrated style of the vintage and is unquestionably another impressive, classic vintage for this cuvée. It should offer some pleasure in its youth as well as evolve for 20+ years in cold cellars

Elegant oak note, well-integrated tannins. this great wine develop beautiful aromas of ripe red and black berries with a fleshy texture.
Hand-picked, whole berries and whole bunches with pre and post maceration, matured on its lees in French barriques. It's got bold perfume, hallmark cherry and cranberry fruit characters, a sketch of dried herbs, black pepper, charry spices and some new leather characters. While pinot descriptors roll off the tongue, per se, there's also a darker, more brooding note in the wine, a teetering into dry red territory over more pure and flowing pinosity - a niggle for some seeking gloss and silkiness over a more guttural, firm experience

An intense and brilliant gold with delicate bubbles. Aromas of toasted bread, mild tobacco and hazelnut followed by notes of dried flowers with a hint of eucalyptus, characteristic of Pinots from Aÿ. Notes of candied citrus fruits, typical from the Côte des Blancs but creating the surprise in a vintage as warm as 2015. The tasting continues with notes of cocoa and dried fruits. All tasting long, beautiful bitters structure the wine which shows a great length. A subtle balance between freshness, complexity and generosity.
