The Tenuta di Castiglioni, the Frescobaldi family’s oldest estate, brought forth, in 1999, Giramonte, a rare and exclusive Cru, based on Merlot blended the the local Sangioveses. The qualities of its soil, an ideal microclimate, and rigorous selection of the fruit ensure, year after year, extraordinary consistency of quality.

The result is a wine of great richness and intensity, silk-smooth, and with an almost endless progression and finish. Giramonte is a lovely red with purple highlights, intense and impenetrable. The nose is fruity with blueberry, cherry and spicy notes of anise and black pepper. Hints of forest undergrowth: mushrooms and truffe accompanied by cocoa beans and coconut. Pronounced notes of coffee and fresh notes of sweet mint. The palate is very warm. Smooth, intense, with lovely and elegant tannins blended into the body. Powerful and persistent , the retro-olfaction is characterized by nuances of ripe fruit.

The extended bottle aging allows the wine to develop a sophisticated bouquet with aromas of ripe dark fruits, such as blackberries and plums, complemented by notes of spices, chocolate, and a hint of floral undertones. On the palate, Warre's Bottle Aged LBV Port is full-bodied and velvety, showcasing concentrated flavors of rich fruit, balanced by well-integrated tannins and a long, smooth finish. Undisputedly symbolic of the Speri company, the Amarone Monte Sant’Urbano is a superb example of a fine, classic wine. It is an extraordinary wine with great complexity and a vigorous structure which has always been top for its elegance and quality. After carefully selecting the best bunches from the prestigious Monte Sant’Urbano vineyard, the grapes are left to dry for a long period (3-4 months depending on the vintage year). This creates a wine with plenty of structure and softness which will certainly age well.

This complex and fragrant wine opens with dried violet, black plum and cooking spice aromas. A fresh, lightly exotic nose, offering dates, figs, fresh earth and a hint of toasted coconut. On the palate there’s a fresh, focused bead of ripe and dried fruit, riding equally intense, firm tannins. Long finish. From organically grown grapes. There’s a youthful feel to this. It is the typical altitude and soil that inspired the name of Duelame Chianti Classico. It is produced from vineyards planted with indigenous grapes lying at the estate’s two extremes of altitude, the lower at 420 meters and the higher one at 655, lying on lame (literally, “blades”) of land, those stratified terraces rich in mineral substances to which Lamole owes its name and which make the landscape of Chianti Classico unique. The wine we obtain is intense and spontaneously heroic in taste.

Its bright ruby red color introduces us to a floral bouquet of iris and violets, along with scents of red berries and hints of aromatic herbs. It is fresh and generous on the palate, with extremely fine-grained tannins that integrate splendidly with its tangy notes and crisp red fruit. Suggestions of underbrush linger on the aromatic finish. An ideal red for accompanying traditional Tuscan dishes such as pappa al pomodoro (bread and tomato soup) or pici with game sauces, but also – served cool – selections of rustic cold cuts, a tartare of raw meat, testaroli with a basil pesto, or even fish with various sauces.

Pomino Vinsanto stands out for its brilliant amber shades and golden reflections. Its intriguing bouquet ranges from ripe fruity scents to toasted notes. The first aromas are those of dried fruit, such as walnut and almond. These slowly give way to honey and coffee bean. Spicy nuances like nutmeg and vanilla are quick to follow. On the palate, it reveals a perfectly balanced acidity with a sweet component.

The finish is extremely long, clean and dry. Serving suggestions This meditation wine goes perfectly with various desserts, from dry pastries to soft creams and puddings. It is also ideal for savoury pairings, such as foie gras, mature cheeses or flavourful marbled cheeses. It is recommended to be served in large glasses.

The Dalmore 12 year old, with its intricate aromas andflavours, is recognised as a whisky with character far beyond its age. This was Andrew Mackenzie’s original masterpiece and stood apart from the norm of the day. At a time when it was standard practise to mature whisky for no more than 6 years, Andrew Mackenzie demonstrated his pioneering character by doubling the maturation period. His boldness truly paid off, The Dalmore 12 year old still stands apart as an exceptional whisky today, as it did then.

Matured for an initial nine years in American white oak ex-Bourbon casks, the spirit is then divided for its final flourish. One half remains in the Bourbon barrels, while the other is transferred to exclusive 30 year old Gonzalez Byass Matusalem oloroso sherry butts before they are reunited to create this great whisky.

Chateau la Croix du Casse is a wine of charm and seduction, a product rich in finesse, very representative of its terroir. Lots of underlying iron and earth notes dominate this dense ruby/purple wine, which also has plenty of cassis, black cherry and spice. Full-bodied yet so fine with poised tannins. Polished and beautiful. Stunning.
