Fresh grassy Semillon and stone fruited Chardonnay are complexed by French and American oak for a beautifully luscious balanced wine. This fresh zesty wine shows citrus and tropical notes balanced with a hint of oak and a creamy palate.

The Matusalem Rum company was started by the Camp brothers in 1872, originally in Cuba, but they are now based in the Dominican Republic. The key to Matusalems’s Gran Reserva rum’s complexity is the Solera aging process, where various mature rums are carefully blended together, with the main component being 15 years old. This is a classic example of aged Cuban rum.

A soft nose of toffee and butter prepare to a satiny entry leads to a round, fruity-yet-dry, medium-bodied palate with praline and brown spice notes. Finishes with smooth spicy oak flavors. A finely balanced, very silky, aged rum.

It was he who mixed Martell Chanteloup XXO from 450 very old eaux-de-vie, from the four most prestigious cognac crus, which he combined in a balanced way into perfect harmony. Martell Chanteloup XXO is an unprecedented combination of richness, complexity and the best of Cognac terroir.

This is a wonderfully rich and complex single malt. Opening with rich and spicy aromas of crème brulee, heather honey and crumbled cinnamon, intensely fruity notes follow – fresh pineapple dressed with a scattering of sun-kissed lemon zest. There’s a hint of freshly-baked sponge cake too, warm from the oven, and you’ll find cinnamon again, but toasted shards this time. Citrus and vanilla notes linger in the aromatic waves of peat smoke.

Crafted from a blend of old vines of Carinena, Garnacha and Syrah and aged for 14 months in French oak (25% new). Bright dark garnet colour with purple reflections. Pure nose, ripe plum, red fruit, garrigue, aniseed, mild oak and tar aromas. The palate is ample with a nice fresh bite underneath the unctuous fruit, balanced oak, plenty of pepper and garrigue with a soft extraction and delicate tannins leading to a long and digest finish.

Matured using a bespoke process, originally in refill European oak casks and American oak Bourbon casks, and finished in sherry casks to enhance the fruity notes.

With the depth and complexity that comes from being matured for 16 years in a combination of first fill oak Bourbon casks and the finest Sherry butts, this expression’s warm fruity notes are enriched by an engagingly spicy sweetness. Creamy with sweet raisin aromas and a spicy nuttiness. A smooth blend of floral and spicy flavours, paired with a sweet plum fruitiness and gentle oakiness. Gloriously long, with a warm, honeyed spiciness.

The 15 year old single malt scotch whisky is matured in a high proportion of American oak casks with a small portion of European oak casks to balance the liquid. A cautious start with soft hints of melon and summer citrus fruit, opening up to reveal firm waxy notes and rich floral aromas; a whole garden of geraniums and roses. Later, warming spices develop into appetizing cinnamon and ginger-spiced biscuits. At first, layers of ripe melon fruit and zesty orange-oil freshness fuse with sultanas and spiced biscuits; then it all becomes much richer with crystallized ginger and ginger biscuits coated in an exquisite chocolate creaminess with hints of vanilla. Medium length finish, and beautifully rounded. Rich choux pastry with cooling thick cream; late toasted notes and dry cocoa powder sprinkled on a bitter chocolate tart. Finally, all that richness builds to a gloriously warming conclusion.

The Naked Grouse enriches the flavours of Scotland’s favourite whisky by maturing in sun dried sherry oak casks. The influence of our quality first-fill sherry casks develops a deep russet appearance and an aroma that melds black cherries, cocoa and oak. The taste experience is sublimely smooth with famous trade-mark dried fruits yielding to cinnamon sticks and nutmeg. The sweet finale is rich in dark chocolate with a spicy, orange finish.
