Created by Glenfiddich Malt Master Brian Kinsman in collaboration with Aston Martin F1 technical visionary Adrian Newey, the expression reflects a shared belief that excellence is often found in the details that remain unseen.
Matured through a carefully composed combination of five cask types — first-fill bourbon, Port pipes, Oloroso sherry, wine casks and Fino sherry butts — Release No.2 builds greater depth and complexity than its predecessor. Rich stewed fruits, floral notes and marzipan lead into a silky palate of butterscotch, caramel and gentle oak spice, finishing with lingering sweetness and soft tannins. Bottled at 43% ABV, it is a distinctive expression of Glenfiddich's fruit-led character with an added layer of richness and sophistication.

The ultra-smooth taste of Berkeley Square Gin is achieved through distilling in our small copper pot still, and also from the unique 48-hour distillation process, known as the ‘bouquet garni’ method.
Inspired by leading chefs who have used ‘bouquet garni’ to subtly impart flavour into dishes for many years, this method sees a muslin cloth bouquet of basil, lavender and sage submerged following the first distillation into the liquid, infusing with the core botanicals and kaffir lime leaves as it is still distilled for a second time. We could never deny that there is a romantic element in our determination to source our core ingredient from Scotland, after all, there is no requirement to make it so. But this is not simply sentiment, the unique combination of an ideal climate, high latitude and the soil types found in Scotland makes the Scottish barley crop perfect for creating the optimum flavour profile during distillation.
Individually selected casks are carefully blended to showcase the classic, floral and elegant Bruichladdich house style. Trickle distilled, then matured for its entire life by the shores of Loch Indaal in premium American oak, it is a testament to the quality of our ingredients.
Smooth as pebbles in a pool. It’s clean, fresh and lively with both the oak and the grain in perfect harmony. The bouquet is brilliant. Opening with barley sugar and a hint of mint before leading into the most wonderful notes of freshly cut wild flowers; buttercup, daisy, meadowsweet, myrtle, primrose and cherry blossom. The cleanliness of the spirit is remarkable. As the seconds tick by, more aromas rise from the glass, little zephyrs of spindrift and sea pinks reminding you that this spirit is matured exclusively by the sea. After some four or five minutes and with the addition of a little water, caramelised fruits drift onto the scene; lemon drops and honey, tangerine and tablet.

The 15 Year Old gets its distinctive rich and exotic character from a process of selective maturation in which a proportion of the spirit is matured in French oak casks. In fact, we at The Glenlivet were one of the first to use French oak for making whisky, a technique that has since been imitated the world over. The Limousin oak we use is cut in France’s Dordogne region, where its often used to mature cognacs. Its low density allows whisky to sink deep into the wood, and we carefully control how long the whisky matures in the casks so as not to overpower the desired result: a unique, pleasing spiciness.
