Monkey Shoulder is a mix of three different Single Malts – Glenfiddich, Balvenie and Kininvie – and is great with mixers or just on its own. Smooth, sweet and very easy to drink. Super smooth, with zesty Orange meets mellow vanilla, honey and spiced oak; On the palate, it offers mellow vanilla with spicy hints.
Plymouth Sloe Gin is a quintessentially English drink – the origins of which have been lost in time. Although sloe berries grow all over Europe and many countries have their own version, it is the English style that is the most famous. Clear character of mellow sloe berries, fruity with notes of sweet cherry and a slight scent of almonds. Smooth, fruity and full bodied, with a balanced sweetness and acidity. Aged in European oak sherry casks and new oak casks, the whisky is mellowed in our unique Solera Vat, a large oak tun inspired by the sherry bodegas of Spain and Portugal. Never emptied, and kept half full of whiskies since 1998, their Solera Vat is the culmination of curious minds and the pioneering spirit of our family. The unmistakable expression of Pinot Noir in Pomino, this wine embodies the uniqueness of the land, especially suited for varieties that convey its style and elegance. Pomino Pinot Nero features a delicate, floral, fruity bouquet accompanied by well-balanced, spicy notes. It impact with its elegant, bright ruby red colour and reflections of subtle garnet. Its bouquet is an explosion of red currants and berries together with sweet, spicy notes reminiscent of cinnamon, ginger and juniper. With time, balsamic notes emerge, finishing off with aromas of leather, coffee beans and cocoa powder. On the palette, fruity and liquorice flavours are present, accompanied by velvety tannin scents. The freshness is perfectly balanced by the alcoholic notes, while the finish is long and persistent.

The A.S.W. is the first wine to acknowledge Amy Burch’s side of the family. Co-owner Amy has been deeply involved in Howard Park from the very early days. Coincidentally, Amy’s parents share the initials, A.S.W. Her father, Alex Stephen Wee, was a successful Singaporean business person; a self-made man who arrived in Singapore from East Malaysia in 1946 with 1 Singapore dollar. Amy’s mother, Annie Sheila Wee, had a cultural affinity with Red Wine due to her upbringing by French & Irish nuns as a boarder in Singapore. She still favours a glass of Shiraz to this day. The Wees came to Australia in the 1960s. Amy, is proud to commemorate her parents and the sum of all her family’s efforts in this special wine.
The A.S.W. is a stylistic departure for Howard Park, being a red blend of all Margaret River fruit, and the only wine with a significant use of American oak. Cabernet parcels are fermented in static fermenters fitted with heading down boards to maintain a submerged cap and gentle extract of flavour and tannins. The Shiraz parcels are fermented in 4t open fermenters with pneumatic pigeage and are retained on skins at the end of fermentation for several weeks. Matured separately in French oak for 18 months, before blending and then a further two months elevage in American oak after blending.
Intense blueberry, vanilla, chocolate, and dark cherry, supported by a hint of black olive and subtle cinnamon and anise seasoning. The palate is plush and brimming with powerful berry notes, intermingled with vanilla and coconut. Persistent flavours, fine ripe tannins, a lavish texture, and spice complexity have melded well to produce this opulent and luxuriant wine.
Glenfiddich’s Signature malt, the pioneer of the single malt Scotch whisky category, is renowned for its beautifully balanced nose and refreshingly complex flavour. In 1887, William Grant used the pure waters from a local spring called the Robbie Dhu to make his whisky. Over 120 years later, we still use the same water to ensure our single malt retains its character and integrity. A wine of sublime elegance and finesse, the 2017 Cheval Blanc is endowed with tremendous energy, precision and cut. Red/purplish fruit, mint, sage, blood orange, star anise and exotic spice notes abound in a mid-weight, finely cut Cheval that dazzles with its energy. Technical Director Pierre-Olivier Clouet gave the 2017 26-27 days on skins. Because of severe frost damage, in 2017, the Grand Vin includes a high percentage of Cabernet Sauvignon (14%), from gravelly soils, which gives the wine very unusual flavor and structure profile. The 2017 Cheval Blanc has all the ingredients to be one of the wines of the vintage.

Named after the rare Marsican bear, native to Frank’s father Bruno’s homeland, Abruzzo. The same bear can be seen in the night sky over Italy forming the Ursa Major – a constellation that has been a navigational reference point for ages. Marsican is a tribute to Frank Mitolo’s heritage and his fathers enduring influence and guidance.
Marsican Shiraz is a prized blend of our finest barrels from three distinct single vineyard sites in McLaren Vale. Situated only kilometres from the cooling breezes of the Gulf St Vincent, these three vineyards are the source of our prized single vineyard Shiraz’s, Savitar, G.A.M. and Angela.
- Savitar – 45 year old vines, Chinese Block, Aldinga sub region, East/West orientation, North East pocket, river stone over black Biscay clay and limestone, a dark and dense cracking soil that delivers vibrant and lush Shiraz with great structure.
- G.A.M. – 45 year old vines, Chinese Block, Aldinga sub region, East/West orientation, Western pocket, delivers an opulent and brooding style of Shiraz, of rich black fruits, olive tapenade and spice.
- Angela – 30 year old vines, Sandra’s Block, Willunga sub region, North/South orientation, alluvial Christies Beach formation with ironstone and shale producing a slightly brighter fruit profile and complete structure.
A careful blend of these three distinct single vineyard sites which each speak so loudly of place, form a seamless, harmonious and unique interpretation of the south western pocket of McLaren Vale delivering an opulent and brooding style of Shiraz, of rich black fruits, olive tapenade and spice.
Each parcel of fruit for Marsican is fermented on skins for approximately ten days. Parcels are fermented quite cool, which helps to preserve the bright fruit characters without extracting any hard or bitter tannins from the skins and seeds. After ten days the wines are gently pressed and run down to oak barrels, of which 100% are new, stored for 18 months after which each barrel is considered for the final Marsican blend.
Deep and brooding with black cherry, dark chocolate, coffee and freshly turned earth. Aromas are clear and well delineated. Complex, layered & fine with terrific finesse. It opens with ripe black cherry, mocha and sweet spices unfolding silkily across the palate. Despite its power and polish, it has remarkable elegance with all its components in beautiful balance. Fine, ripe tannins and perfectly judged acidity frame it all boding well for excellent cellaring potential. While rich and expressive now, the greatest rewards await those with the patience to allow it to slowly evolve in a cool cellar for the next 35 years.
