The wine has been finding its style, and in the 2000s, they believe they are finding it through more elegance and less extraction, with fruit and more integration of the oak, leaving the initial model of Bordeaux, or later in Napa, and now admitting that it’s a more Mediterranean expression of the Cabernet.

The 2013 Dom Pérignon is a lovely wine defined by the long cool growing season. Offering up aromas of crisp stone fruit tangerine oil buttered toast pear almonds and clear honey it’s medium to full-bodied ample and seamless with bright acids and a pillowy enveloping profile concluding with a long saline finish. Vincent Chaperon recalls that shatter at fruit set moderated yields and that a drying east wind in the weeks before harvest helped to maintain the good sanitation necessary to wait to pick at full maturity.

Aged for over a year in French barrels, this beautiful Pinot Noir reflect the classic Russian River/Green Valley fruit: dark berries and a hint of orange peel. Undisputedly symbolic of the Speri company, the Amarone Monte Sant’Urbano is a superb example of a fine, classic wine. It is an extraordinary wine with great complexity and a vigorous structure which has always been top for its elegance and quality. After carefully selecting the best bunches from the prestigious Monte Sant’Urbano vineyard, the grapes are left to dry for a long period (3-4 months depending on the vintage year). This creates a wine with plenty of structure and softness which will certainly age well.
Enticing scents of spiced plum, pipe tobacco, crushed mint, new leather and a whiff of smoke come to the forefront. The full-bodied, velvety palate boasts dried cherry, raspberry compote, star anise and a graphite note. Fine-grained tannins provide the firm but elegant framework while fresh acidity keeps it balanced.

Disaronno ‘Originale’ is an liqueur with a characteristic almond taste made in Italy. Amaretto (Italian for ‘a little bitter’) is a sweet, almond-flavoured, Italian liqueur associated with Saronno, Italy. In 1525, a Saronno church commissioned artist Bernardino Luini, one of Leonardo da Vinci’s pupils, to paint its sanctuary with frescoes. As the church was dedicated to the Virgin Mary, Luini needed to depict the Madonna, but was in need of a model. He found his inspiration in a young widowed innkeeper, who became his model and (in most versions) lover. Out of gratitude and affection, the woman wished to give him a gift. Her simple means did not permit much, so she steeped apricot kernels in brandy and presented the resulting concoction to a touched Luini.
Giovanni Reina rediscovered the innkeeper’s old recipe a century later and the Reina family developed its amaretto over the centuries until it made Disaronno Originale commercially available at the start of the 20th century. Perfect on its own or over ice, Disaronno is also great to mix with. Try it with your favourite fruit juice (such as orange or cranberry), with cola or in a stylish cocktail.

A superbly stylish cognac whose name refers to the old French saying, ‘Noblesse Oblige’. Martell Noblige is intended for those who prize the natural dignity of a great cognac. The bottle’s contemporary design carries strong cues of elegance and sophistication. A masculine and elegant cognac, expressive of the fruit’s smooth and generous sensuality balanced with complex wood notes.
La Grande Année Rosé 2015 is a blend of 11 crus, predominantly 62% of Pinot Noir from Verzenay, Aÿ and Mareuil-sur-Aÿ and 38% of Chardonnay from Chouilly and Avize. The blend includes 5 % red wine from La Côte aux Enfants parcel.
Fermentation takes place entirely in oak barrels, and the wine is aged, sealed with a natural cork, for more than twice the time required by the appellation. The dosage is moderate, 8 grams per litre.
The 2015 vintage promises excellence, and La Grande Année Rosé 2015 reflects this beautifully. With delicate pink hues, its nose bursts with fresh strawberry, mandarin, and rhubarb. It’s silky and juicy on the palate, leading with stone fruits and finishing with blood orange notes. Elegantly tannic with a subtle, velvety finish, this wine captures the essence of the forest and woodland.

100% Vermentino, sourced from a single parcel. Soil of Clay loam, rich in iron and manganese, with a high proportion of active limestone underlying; Hand harvested, matured for four months in stainless steel tanks on its lees. this is mineral, fresh and intense. Straw yellow in colour with hints of gold and green. On the nose it has subtle notes of lime blossom, yellow peach and apricot, and zesty grapefruit. The palate is crisp and delicious, perfectly echoing the aromatics on the nose, with tangy fruit and a mineral finish.

Dark, garnet colour with purplish reflections. On the nose, notes that are both meaty, sanguine (blood oranges) and juicy. A lightly roasted smoky touch (mocha) blends with a hint of leather. On the palate, this blend of Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon and Grenache gives a powerful, fleshy but perfectly harmonious wine. This ruby red is especially appreciated to accompany traditional cuisine: stew, blanquette and certain fish such as sea bream, sea bass as well as with cheeses.

Reserva Real was created after his majesty King Don Juan Carlos visited the winery in 1995, and was treated to one of the most exclusive and limited production wines in Spain. It’s difficult – almost impossible – not to fall head over heels in love with this rare, multi-award-winning wine. The blend is 85% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12% Merlot and 3% Cabernet Franc. Only 2,000 bottles are made from the vineyard in Medlona, Alt Penedes. What is so special about the vineyard is the atypical slate soil, which pushes and enhances the ripeness and concentration of the fruit. The wine undergoes 30 days of skin contact and is aged for eighteen months in new French oak.
Deep garnet colored, this Spanish reared Bordeaux blend offers pronounced notes of crushed black berries, black plums and blueberries with an undercurrent of baking spices, vanilla and tobacco. Medium to full bodied, the palate is still very youthful with a good concentration of taut fruit supported by medium to high acidity and firm chewy tannins, finishing long.

The grapes, hand-selected and chilled overnight, are whole cluster pressed and the decanted must is then transferred to French oak barrels for fermentation, with a new wood percentage varying between 5% and 20%. After alcoholic fermentation, malolactic fermentation follows to balance the acidity and provide greater roundness. The wine matures on fine lees until bottling, scheduled for the summer following the harvest.
The aromatic profile is complex and refined, with notes of caramelized pear, ripe apple, and apricot blending with hints of melon, yellow plum, and vanilla spices. On the palate, prominent mineral freshness and fruit richness lead to a long and harmonious finish. Excellent pairing with pizzas with intense flavors, tasty risottos, or white meats with aromatic sides.
