Aged for 24 months in oak barrels, The Tenuta Calimaia Vino Nobile di Montepulciano is an intense ruby-red colour to the eye. The nose has clear notes of red fruits: cherry and sour cherry at the outset, followed by intense notes of aromatic herbs and spices, among which sage, cardamom and pink pepper stand out. Finally, dark chocolate aromas are accompanied by hints of licorice. To start off, its body is generous, voluminous and fresh on the mouth at the same time. The tannic texture is dense and soft. Remarkable consistency between the aroma and flavour, and very long intense aromatic persistence.

Its bright ruby red color introduces us to a floral bouquet of iris and violets, along with scents of red berries and hints of aromatic herbs. It is fresh and generous on the palate, with extremely fine-grained tannins that integrate splendidly with its tangy notes and crisp red fruit. Suggestions of underbrush linger on the aromatic finish. Fistfuls of rose petals, lots of minerals, a touch of leather, and a dusting of spices, licorice, espresso and underbrush frame this wine’s black and red fruits, combining to create a perfume that promises an exciting palate, and this wine does not disappoint! Vibrant acidity animates this concentrated Barbaresco that matches its dry extract with chewy tannins, fine minerality, and a gorgeous structure.

The palate is balanced, rounded and dense, with a velvety-smooth finish. Pale golden in colour with yeasty aromas on the nose. Very dry but with toasty flavours in the mouth. Round and richly flavoured, full bodied and mature, with perfect balance between firmness and freshness, length equal to its richness, and with a persistent fine bead. In champagne terms, this is the definitive “masculine” style.

A much sought-after single malt with the massive peat-smoke that’s typical of southern Islay – but also offering richness and a dryness that turns it into a truly interesting dram. The 16 year old has become a benchmark Islay dram from the Lagavulin distillery. This is one of the smokiest noses from Islay. It’s big, very, very concentrated, and redolent of iodine, sweet spices, good, mature sherry and creamy vanilla. Stunning. The palate is Very thick and rich. A massive mouthful of malt and sherry with good fruity sweetness, but also a wonderful sweetness. Big, powerful peat and oak.
Ripe al Convento is a wine made with scrupulous care and attention from individual berry selection in the vineyard to vinification and ageing in the cellar. It is a Brunello Riserva with powerful personality and exceptional ageing ability. The wine spend a minimum of 2 years in a mix of Large Slavonian oak ovals and French oak barrels, and release 6 years only after harvest.

At an altitude of 450 metres, the vineyard benefits from warm sun in the afternoon, galestro type soil, and fresh Mediterranean breezes, producing a uniquely elegant Brunello Riserva, with personality and longevity.
Pipe tobacco, spiced plum, menthol and blue flower are some of the aromas you’ll find on this enveloping wine. Full bodied and savory, the structured, generous palate combines muscle and finesse, doling out fleshy morello cherry, raspberry jam, licorice and a dollop of vanilla alongside velvety tannins. It’s already approachable but will age well for several years or more.

A fruity, well-composed Singleton with flavours of preserved plum and ginger that’s perfectly balanced for everyday drinking. Contrives to be both light and smooth without compromising any depth of flavour or fullness of palate, on which there’s a good balance of cleansing fruit acidity and creamy rich toffee. Immediate, smooth, and cooling palate, subtly coating, with a clever balance of gentle fruit tartness (preserved plums) and gingery, rich, sweet malt.
Becoming gradually lighter and cleaner on the palate with faint, appetizing late notes of toasted coconut. Medium in length and very, very rounded. A beautiful balance of lightly cleansing fruit notes and gingery toasted maltiness; a smooth texture, like caramel toffees or good chocolate slowly melting on the tongue. Late notes of cocoa and cool mint.

Produced in small batches and aged for a minimum of two and a half years, Don Julio 1942 Tequila is handcrafted in tribute to the year that Don Julio Gonzalez began his tequila-making journey.
This is a remarkably smooth and incredibly complex Tequila with notes of tropical fruit, agave and a hint of cinnamon spice. Its sweet and complex aroma complements an equally intriguing range of flavors including hints of warm oak, pepper and cinnamon. Extraordinarily smooth, with astonishing depth, it is best enjoyed neat in a snifter.
The wine undergoes a longer maturation, ageing for 18–20 months in French oak barrels, with a judicious selection of new and used wood to support complexity without overpowering purity of fruit. This extended oak regime contributes integrated spice, subtle cedar and tobacco nuances, and a layered, refined finish that rewards cellaring and elevates the wine’s long-term potential.
