This fairly uncommon Gin comes from the Black Forest in Germany, Monkey 47 contains a fairly unusual ingredient: Cranberries! The 47 comes from the number of botanicals that go into this unique gin, and the fact it’s bottled at a healthy 47%. Predictably complex, this is a robust and powerful gin with plenty of spice, fruit and herb flavours. It’s very well structured, and difficult to unpick but a citrus fresh start segues into pine and wood notes for a drying finish.
Reserva Real was created after his majesty King Don Juan Carlos visited the winery in 1995, and was treated to one of the most exclusive and limited production wines in Spain. It’s difficult – almost impossible – not to fall head over heels in love with this rare, multi-award-winning wine. The blend is 85% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12% Merlot and 3% Cabernet Franc. Only about 2,000 bottles are made from the vineyard in Medlona, Alt Penedes each year. What is so special about the vineyard is the atypical slate soil, which pushes and enhances the ripeness and concentration of the fruit. The wine undergoes 30 days of skin contact and is aged for eighteen months in new French oak.
Intense mahogany red with hints of russet. Its aroma can be identified by its great aromatic intensity, with notes from its long ageing in new oak (liquorice, spices, vegetation), complemented with lactic notes and those of jam. On the palate this wine is characterised by a lush attack, good body and concentration that befit a wine that’s perfect for laying down. Its tannins are sweet and well-structured and it has a long, elegant finish.

Dalmore 15 year old single malt whisky spends twelve years maturing in American white oak ex-bourbon casks, then a three year finish in three different sherry woods – Amoroso, Apostoles and Matusalem oloroso. A robust, yet elegant spirit, it has a terrific chocolate orange nose with somewinter spices and a hint of sherry. Orange zest and chocolate on the palate, with a gentle spice and a malty and coffee flavoured finish. The Dalmore 15 is smooth, rich and well rounded; the epitome of The Dalmore house style.
The suite of casks selected by Head Distiller Adam Hannett for each batch of The Classic Laddie has been filled with spirit we have distilled from 100% Scottish-grown barley, unpeated (so without the classic ‘smoky’ Islay element). We could never deny that there is a romantic element in our determination to source our core ingredient from Scotland, after all, there is no requirement to make it so. But this is not simply sentiment, the unique combination of an ideal climate, high latitude and the soil types found in Scotland makes the Scottish barley crop perfect for creating the optimum flavour profile during distillation.

Smooth as pebbles in a pool. It’s clean, fresh and lively with both the oak and the grain in perfect harmony. The bouquet is brilliant. Opening with barley sugar and a hint of mint before leading into the most wonderful notes of freshly cut wild flowers; buttercup, daisy, meadowsweet, myrtle, primrose and cherry blossom. The cleanliness of the spirit is remarkable. As the seconds tick by, more aromas rise from the glass, little zephyrs of spindrift and sea pinks reminding you that this spirit is matured exclusively by the sea. After some four or five minutes and with the addition of a little water, caramelised fruits drift onto the scene; lemon drops and honey, tangerine and tablet.

This Paradella & Garnacha Blanca blend offers a fruitful wine, with hints of apple and pineapple. Smooth, balanced palate with a fine acidic edge. Best served chilled. Excellent as an aperitif and accompaniment for rice dishes, seafood and fish.

Composed of 56% Merlot, 4.4% Cabernet Franc and 39.6% Cabernet Sauvignon, the deep garnet-purple colored 2017 La Mission Haut-Brion is a little reticent on the nose to begin, slowly unfurling to reveal notes of crushed blackcurrants, Black Forest cake and Morello cherries with suggestions of cigar box, pencil shavings, charcoal and fertile loam. Medium-bodied, the palate has fantastic intensity with loads of mineral layers and a rock-solid line of firm, grainy tannins, finishing very long and with great energy. Effortless, gracious and wonderfully nuanced, the 2017 simply has it all.

Sourced from the hills between Valdobbiadene and Conegliano, this is an amazing Sparkling Wine with a clean, pleasantly fruity bouquet, reminiscent of rennet apples and peach blossom. Its flavor is rounded and well-balanced. it has a very fine, persistent bead and scents of apples and pears that act as a prelude to the flavors of ripe stone fruit with a bit of melon and orange. Fresh and lively with a long, dry, yeasty finish. Attractive sweetness on the palate, which at the same time displays drive and focus. Mineral-charged with bright lemon notes and a firm crispness. Perfect as an aperitif. An ideal accompaniment to seafood or cheese starters, as well as delicately-flavoured Italian and international cuisine.

Site : The Premiers Crus vineyards of Domaine Chanson are aged in casks in the Bastion cellars. This cuvée is a blend of grapes sourced from selected plots among the Premiers Crus of the domaine located on the hill of Beaune.
The Vintage 2022 : After a winter characterized by marked variations in temperature between January and February, spring started with mild temperatures. A sequence of cold weather in April was followed by warm temperatures in May but the lack of water was very noticeable and could not be compensated by the rainy storms of June. Summer was marked by several and long heat waves and the storms of the end of August were most welcome. The harvest at Chanson started on August 30 with a team of 100 persons and ended on September 13. 2022 vintage was quite generous both in volume and quality and the white wines are well-balanced, precise and refreshing.

The Dalmore 12 year old, with its intricate aromas andflavours, is recognised as a whisky with character far beyond its age. This was Andrew Mackenzie’s original masterpiece and stood apart from the norm of the day. At a time when it was standard practise to mature whisky for no more than 6 years, Andrew Mackenzie demonstrated his pioneering character by doubling the maturation period. His boldness truly paid off, The Dalmore 12 year old still stands apart as an exceptional whisky today, as it did then.
Matured for an initial nine years in American white oak ex-Bourbon casks, the spirit is then divided for its final flourish. One half remains in the Bourbon barrels, while the other is transferred to exclusive 30 year old Gonzalez Byass Matusalem oloroso sherry butts before they are reunited to create this great whisky.
This great wine is made for cellaring. It is slowly following its evolutionary path. It oscillates between periods of closure and openness during which one discovers a vast aromatic palette filled with a mix of black fruits, the scents of woody underbrush, and hints of minerals. The tannins have a strong presence and the acidity provokes a fresh finish in the mouth. Its anticipated maturity is without a doubt in 15 to 25 years.

The production of Montes Alpha M is extremely limited and vintages are only released if our head winemaker, Aurelio Montes considers the quality of the wine to be of a good enough standard. Production starts by selecting individual grapes at harvest time. This wine, from the Apalta Valley (a sub-region of Colchagua), is one of the best and most awarded Chilean wines.
The vineyards that give rise to our Montes Alpha M are located in the Colchagua Valley, at our Finca de Apalta estate. The soils are of granitic origin and vary in clay content, depth, organic matter, and in particular, the quantity of rocks and stones found in them, which range from fluvial to glacial in origin, highlighting the great diversity of soils. Some areas also show the influence of the nearby Tinguiririca River, while higher up, material from the long-term erosion of the valley’s mountainside is evident. The soils are deep in the flatter areas and thinner at the foot of the mountains, where the Cabernet Sauvignon is planted on 30aº slopes. This produces wines with characteristic concentration, good structure, outstanding colour, and excellent ageing potential.
80% of the wine aged for 18 months in new French oak barrels. The remaining 20% aged in second- and third-use barrels for the same 18 months.
Deep carmine-red colour. The complex nose shows broad notes of ripe red and black fruit, cherry syrup, figs, and blackberry. Its time in French oak barrels is reflected in the toasted notes, sweet spices, tobacco, and hint of wet earth; there’s also some dairy-like toffee and dulce de leche. On the palate the wine is balanced, with extremely silky tannins; broad in body, with well-harmonized acidity and flavours that reflect the aromas on the nose, all leading to a long, fruit-forward, and vibrant finish.

The 2017 Haut-Bailly is composed of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 32% Merlot, 4% Cabernet Franc and 4% Petit Verdot. Very deep garnet-purple colored, it has a wonderfully spicy nose of cinnamon stick, cloves, anise and fenugreek with core of roses, warm blueberries, black forest cake and black raspberries plus hints of underbrush and iron ore. Medium to full-bodied with firm, ripe, grainy tannins, it has oodles of freshness and great finesse, continuing bright and energetic on the long, minerally finish.

The concentration and largesse of the 2016 Pichon Baron is apparent from the get-go with incredibly alluring, ripe and expansive fruit aromas in the blackberry, dark-cherry, mulberry and plum zone. Espresso and cedar, as well as a slate-like, stony mineral edge add complexity. The palate has incredible depth, drive and detail. Fine and plush tannins stretch the palate in every direction. So fresh and vivacious, this is the greatest Pichon Baron since 1989 and has a long future.
