With a beautiful pale pink colour, the nose stands out intense fruity and floral scents such as peach, rose and peony. Citrus notes perfectly integrated in the context give a wonderful crispness even more accentuated by delicate iodine hints. The bouquet is all in progress and in a second moment appear sensations of aromatic herbs such as thyme and sage. The taste-olfactory correspondence is impressive, moreover to the palate is perceived a wonderful crispness together with sapidity. Alie is a full bodied, silky and smooth wine.

Very pale straw with a green tinge. Tight and bright early picked peach and melon notes carried on a weighty palate, culminating in a fresh and crisp finish with the most interesting of oak nuances. Medium bodied, seriously delicious Australian Chardonnay!
This wine was fermented cool over a two week period. Selected parcels were fermented with the inclusion of French oak. Once fermentation was complete the wines were matured on fine yeast lees over 3 months to build palate weight.
Exclusively sherry seasoned whisky with the perfect balance of European and American oak maturation to create a distinctive American oak style, sweet, honeyed and rounded. Creamy butterscotch with a hint of toffee apple, candied orange, vanilla custard and newly felled oak. Deliciously honeyed, wood spices and citrus, balanced with raisins and caramel. Oak lingers, warm, sweet and drying.
Bargylus White, a unconventional blend of Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc, elegantly combines strength & refinement it has a strong color, the range of aroma is perceivable through the fresh fruit & minerality that translates the very shingly soil. The balance between sweetness, that comes with sunniness and the grapes, full maturity, and salinity that comes with limestone, allows Bargylus to convey a strong soil identity and an inimitable taste. Fading yellow with light green reflections. The noses expresses exotic fruit aromas of papaya and lemon with a touch of saltiness as well. On the pallet the wine is very elegant, round, keeping a lot of freshness due to a good acidity – bringing great ageing potential.

Only 2,400 bottles were produced that year. Concentrated and elegant flavors of cherry, berry, plum and currant are well-integrated and supported by silky tannins. Rich mineral and underbrush accents linger on the refined finish. It’s clearly recognizable as Pinot Noir, and it has the subtleness, elegance and perfume of the best examples of the grape. There are notes of blood orange skin, exotic spices and a core of crunchy red fruit. The palate is medium-bodied, with the tannins of the granite yet with a flinty sensation. It’s both elegant and powerful, concentrated but soft.

Aged in French oak barrels for 16 months, this is dense and savoury, meaty, animally nose, very fresh, light, aerated palate washed with juice, very light and fresh finish with dark raspberry notes. You expect a certain dryness of tannins in a wine so elegant but it’s fresh and mouth-watering at the end.

Critical site selection, meticulous viticulture and detailed winemaking underline each Icon wine. In name, the Icon wines pay homage to significant members of the Burch family.
The A.S.W. is the first wine to acknowledge Amy Burch’s side of the family. Co-owner Amy has been deeply involved in Howard Park from the very early days. Coincidentally, Amy’s parents share the initials, A.S.W. Her father, Alex Stephen Wee, was a successful Singaporean business person; a self-made man who arrived in Singapore from East Malaysia in 1946 with 1 Singapore dollar. Amy’s mother, Annie Sheila Wee, had a cultural affinity with Red Wine due to her upbringing by French & Irish nuns as a boarder in Singapore. She still favours a glass of Shiraz to this day. The Wees came to Australia in the 1960s. Amy, is proud to commemorate her parents and the sum of all her family’s efforts in this special wine.
The A.S.W. is a stylistic departure for Howard Park, being a red blend of all Margaret River fruit, and the only wine with a significant use of American oak. Cabernet parcels are fermented in static fermenters fitted with heading down boards to maintain a submerged cap and gentle extract of flavour and tannins. The Shiraz parcels are fermented in 4t open fermenters with pneumatic pigeage and are retained on skins at the end of fermentation for several weeks. Matured separately in French oak for 18 months, before blending and then a further two months elevage in American oak after blending.
Intense blueberry, vanilla, chocolate, and dark cherry, supported by a hint of black olive and subtle cinnamon and anise seasoning. The palate is plush and brimming with powerful berry notes, intermingled with vanilla and coconut. Persistent flavours, fine ripe tannins, a lavish texture, and spice complexity have melded well to produce this opulent and luxuriant wine.
The pinot-based fruit underlying this wine is in evidence because there is an abundance of citrus, baked bread and floral characters that include rose and acacia blossom scents on the utterly transfixing nose, there are also background wisps of various red berry nuances. There is a wonderful and beguiling texture to strikingly complex, intense and vibrant flavors that possess a highly refined mouth feel thanks to the ultra-fine bead of the supporting mousse that shapes the focused and gorgeously long finale that is agreeably dry but not really austere. I was knocked out not only but the texture but also the imposing depth and while these two elements render the ’07 VVF approachable, it’s clear that this should generously repay extended keeping. In short, this is a genuinely great effort.

Beautiful limpid ruby-red colour. The delicate nose of this wine is typical of Gigondas with aromas of pepper, liquorice and violet. On the palate, it offers a silky texture, very soft with delicate tannins and superb notes of small black fruit. Drink it over the coming decade.

This is a genuine ‘wow’ wine – you could be forgiven for thinking you were in the grand climats of Burgundy when tasting it. Fine and precise with fresh sugar snap pea and fennel, white nectarine and a hint of struck match. There is tension and length on the palate with classic Tolpuddle Vineyard acidity and fine, chalky texture adding complexity and interest. A lesson in elegance and restraint.

The complex and harmonious combination of aromas of this elegant, noble wine elevate it to truly world-class status. Beautiful golden yellow in colour. Very intense, complex aroma with notes of fruit (citrus and peach compote) over a very fine background of vanilla. Oily and very big on the palate with superb acidity, pleasantly expressing the fruity notes of the aroma.

The 2010 Vieilles Vignes Françaises (only 1,416 bottles made) dazzles from the very first impression with striking aromatic presence and utterly captivating balance. Mirabelle, sweet red cherry, jasmine and passion fruit are some of the many notes that give the 2010 its decidedly racy, exotic personality. The 2010 exudes rare energy for this vintage, which was hardly easy in the field, not to mention real pedigree.

Fermented entirely in aged oak barrels, sealed with a natural cork and cellar aged for more than twice the time required by the appellation, with a moderate dosage, 8 grams per liter. To the nose, La Côte aux Enfants Champagne 2013 emanates aromas of mint and ripe fruit, rounded off with aromas of acacia honey and citrus fruit. On the palate, A lively and complex taste with wonderful acidity. Flavors such as lemon, ripe fruit and curry accompany candied red fruit and buttery notes.

Crafted from younger vines of the estate, this exuberant blend of Chardonnay & Sauvignon Blanc brings apple, pear, lemon, pineapple, melon & citrus zest. Fresh with an excellent acidity, medium body, with a long and mineral finish. Full-bodied, aromas of apple, green mango and stonefruit have a concentrated core, yellow floral, spice and chalk minerals. Vibrant acidity flows effortlessly with a creamy mouthfeel, and chalky minerals and spices contribute to the mouthfeel. This white blend features lively acidity and fruit purity and is elevated by elegant spice elements.

On the palate it is fresh and tightly wound; acidity is tempered by very subtle residual sugar; very clean; alive, racy, youthful. A dry and extremely elegant wine. Full of fruity vibrance, this is a beautifully-crafted Sauvignon Blanc with power, elegance and finesse in perfect balance.

Beautiful, classic Pinot colour and a nose that reflects its ancestry: sweet black fruits like blackberries, rhubarb and cranberry, plus the classic forest floor, meaty and earthy, with floral notes of lavender and rose hip. On the palate it is soft but mouth- filling, with a minerality, bright acidity and well-integrated tannins that promise a long life; this wine will continue to develop for at least 10-15 years.
