Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label Brut has been the symbol of the House since 1772. A perfect balance between power and finesse, its complexity comes from the predominant presence of Pinot Noir and Reserve Wines. It showcases our superb vineyards and the consistent style of our House. Grapes from as many as 50 to 60 different Crus are used for the blending of Yellow Label. The predominance of Pinot Noir provides the core structure of Clicquot, while a touch of Meunier rounds out the blend. Chardonnay adds the elegance and finesse essential to a perfectly balanced wine.

About the Brand

For 250 years, Veuve Clicquot champagnes have been enhancing the finest receptions, because they represent a chic and audacious "art de vivre" that the House has been cultivating since its creation. When he founded his “wine merchant business under the label Clicquot” in 1772, Philippe Clicquot had a clear ambition: cross all borders.
He conquered Europe and then Russia in 1780, followed by the United States in 1782. He was joined at the head of the House in 1798 by his son, Francois Clicquot, who had recently married Barbe Ponsardin. Seven years later, following the untimely death of Francois Clicquot, his young widow, just 27 years old, took over the family business. Within just a few decades, Madame Clicquot was shipping wine to every continent. She perfected production techniques, invented the riddling table and innovated with the first blended rose champagne. Faithful to the values of creativity and innovation passed on by Madame Clicquot, the Maison marked its bottles with its first yellow label in 1877, making the brand distinctive and instantly recognizable.
Veuve Clicquot continues to be inspired by this same quest for modernity and excellence, constantly reinventing itself with new cuvees and bold innovations to enhance the enjoyment of its wines.
