Gevrey-Chambertin is one of Burgundy's most famous villages, located north of the Côte de Nuits. Often regarded as one of the region's great red wines, with a richness and structure that make for wines perfect for aging.  After a rigorous selection of grapes, fermentation in stainless steel tanks, with punching down and pumping over adapted to each appellation and vintage to extract color and aroma. Aged on fine lees in French oak barrels (25% new, 1 to 6 years old, 228L) for 17 months in the Bastion cellars.

Dark red color, complex nose with aromas of black berries (blackcurrant) and plums, with a touch of oak and undergrowth. Complex with good volume. Dense, deep texture with well-crafted tannins. Very pure fruit. Generous, opulent finish.  Pair with game (pheasant), poultry (capon) and all mature cheeses (Epoisses, Langres).
