Bumbu The Original is a handcrafted rum from Barbados, inspired by 16th- and 17th-century recipes crafted by sailors in the West Indies. Blending rums from eight Caribbean and South American countries, it’s distilled from premium sugarcane and pure Barbadian water, capturing the rich heritage of rum-making.

This rum offers a smooth, layered flavor, with bold notes of caramel, vanilla, and toasted oak, balanced by hints of banana and tropical fruits. Aged for up to 15 years in Kentucky bourbon barrels, Bumbu develops a deep, refined character. The presentation is equally impressive, with its heavy glass bottle adorned with a bold metal “X” emblem, embodying the brand's vibrant personality.

Our flagship Bumbu Rum is based on the original recipe created by 16th and 17th century sailors of the West Indies, who blended native Caribbean ingredients into their rum and called it “Bumbu” – truly the original craft spirit. Bumbu is distilled and bottled at a 123-year old distillery in Barbados from first class sugarcane selected from eight countries across the West Indies.
