Released in late 2022, Intense Arabica part of the 2nd release from Macallan’s ‘The Harmony Collection’, following the study around Cacao. The project is spearheaded by the distilleries efforts to focus on sustainability. Inspired by the Arabica Coffee bean, grown in Ethiopia, it is a rich, creamy and moreish whisky that brings rich fruits, dried oak and an abundance of dark chocolate and coffee on the nose, palate and finish, resulting in a truly incredible drinking experience that could only be created by true masters, like those working at Macallan.

Macallan Whisky Maker Steven Bremner worked with world renowned coffee experts to produce the perfect whisky to be paired with high quality coffee. The result has been aged in ex-Sherry European and American oak casks. In line with The Macallan’s commitment to be more sustainable and eco-friendly in its packaging, Intense Arabica is presented in a 100% recyclable and biodegradable box which is made using natural by-products in the coffee-making process. These include sustainably sourced coffee bean husks. The one-of-a-kind packaging is concocted in partnership with Italian paper mill, Michele Posocco.

Founded in 1824 in the heart of Speyside, The Macallan is a staple of Scotch whisky across the world. Crisp and sweet, there are notes of sultanas and fresh apple blossom. There is a defined floral note with a beautiful Sherry, calvados emerges with a tropical fruit note and golden syrup. The palate is medium-body and quite firm, with notes of hot pastries and marmalade, sultanas and peels with a developing sweetness from the barley sugar.

This exceptional single malt has been matured in a combination of sherry seasoned European and American oak, and ex-bourbon casks.​

On the nose are notes of rich vanilla, citrus peel and sweet oak, before baked custard, sweet green apple and vanilla are unveiled on the palate.

In the 2024 Edition, the prominent character of the whisky is rich vanilla at full strength of 52.4%.

When water is added and the strength is reduced to 40%, tropical fruit and lemon flavours step forward. ​

The Macallan Sherry Oak 30 Years Old forms part of our Sherry Oak range which features a series of single malt whiskies matured exclusively in hand-picked sherry seasoned oak casks from Jerez for richness and complexity. Deliciously smooth with a long, rich finish, the natural dark mahogany colour of the 30 Years Old is the richest in the range.

This distinguished single malt is matured exclusively for thirty years in Oloroso sherry seasoned oak casks from Jerez, Spain. Laying undisturbed in the same casks for this thirty year period, the maturing spirit transforms to create this luxurious, naturally dark, single malt whisky characterised by its rich flavours of dried fruits, orange and spice. Rich sherry nose, with orange clove, nutmeg and wood smoke. Deliciously smooth, with dried fruits, sherry, orange and wood smoke. Long and rich finish, with orange and spice.

This release is inspired by New Year's Eve in Jerez de la Frontera: a night full of meaning and tradition, known as Nochevieja, or "Old Night."

For this 200th anniversary, we have collaborated with María Melero, born in Jerez, who has captured her memories of the festive season in her hometown as inspiration for the designs that enhance the unique unboxing experience of A Night on Earth.

The third release in the Harmony Collection has been created in collaboration with Stella and Mary McCartney to celebrate the lush, fertile lands of Scotland that connect all those who have stood upon them for generations. This collaboration celebrates the shared values of The Macallan and The McCartney’s, with love and respect for the natural world at the forefront.

This release embraces the re-use of natural materials in its packaging, creating beauty from resources at the end of their natural lives. To mark this deep connection with the land, discarded meadow cuttings have been given new life in this presentation box and bottle labels. The presentation box features photography by Mary McCartney of The Macallan Estate. The Macallan Whisky Mastery Team have taken inspiration from natural Scottish grasslands to create this distinctive expression, redolent of warm meadows and mature barley fields, with a rich, citrus scented finish, using a combination of both sherry seasoned oak and bourbon casks.

The Macallan Double Cask 30 Years Old, aged for thirty years in a harmonious union of American and European oak sherry seasoned casks, to create a unique taste and character. Double Cask 30 Years Old is a charming combination of cinder toffee, honeycomb, vanilla and red apples – and I wanted to depict the vibrant colours and varying textures of these luscious flavours in the image, reminiscent of the great Flemish still life paintings from the 17th century.

Acclaimed photographer and artist Erik Madigan Heck was inspired by nature and the landscape of The Macallan Estate when capturing the complex flavour of The Macallan Double Cask 30 Years Old.

The whisky itself is a rich and luxurious medley of flavour, and Erik Madigan Heck used natural light to capture this depth of character in his still life. The reflective surface enhances the idea of flavours blending– almost as if seamlessly merging together as one – with the soft focus echoing the long-lasting taste experience.

The whisky’s golden acorn natural colour is the focal point of the shot. Its rich tone and translucent glow has influenced the colour palette of the piece as a whole, with the soft caramels and browns and pops of red and green once more showcasing the depth of its flavour profile.

The Macallan Red Collection reflects our deep respect for time, tradition, and craftsmanship. It is a celebration of the rich range of reds present naturally in The Macallan—in every step of the process. The distinctive red colour weaves its way through our history, starting with the name of our founder Alexander Reid—literally “The Red”, to The Macallan’s ‘Choice Old’ range released over a century ago in 1903, through to Allan Shiach marking vintage bottles of The Macallan with a red ribbon in the 1980s.

The Macallan Lead Whisky Maker Sarah Burgess, presents a peerless single malt whisky that has slowly matured over seven extraordinary decades under the watchful eye of generations of whisky makers, until it has reached this perfect moment of maturation. The ‘new make’ spirit from The Macallan’s small copper stills was laid down in hand-picked oak casks and left to mature for seventy-eight years, making it the oldest release from The Macallan to date.

During these decades of slumber, the carefully selected wood shaped the unique character of the whisky delivering the natural colour, distinctive aromas and full flavours of this aged single malt.

The oak presentation box is crafted by hand in the UK, using the same sustainable European oak we use to make our casks. The box has been beautifully upholstered with sustainably sourced, soft scottish leather from our renowned partners, Bridge of Weir Leather.

Tasting notes: A fresh fruit medley of apple, peach and grape moving into fresh lime and verbena. Antique oak and soft leather move quickly into a luxurious dark chocolate and dried fruit sensation. The dried fruits are a balance of dates and raisins. Finally, a rich inviting vanilla cake. Warming oak spice of nutmeg and ginger open into the rich dried fruits of raisin, prune, date and a hint of almond nuttiness. The oak rich whisky is warming yet dry with powerful treacle toffee and a baked apple sweetness. A long thought-provoking finish, all of the flavours from the nose and the taste make an appearance in this finish…. Remarkable.

Macallan 18 Sherry casks is one the most sought-after whisky for collectors; Outstanding, complex Single Malt, matured at The Macallan distillery for a minimum of 18 years in selected Sherry oak casks from Spain. A rich and complex Highland single malt that has been matured in oloroso sherry casks, it has aromas of dried fruits and fiery ginger, as well as sweet vanilla and warm cinnamon. The palate offers notes of raisins, cloves, orange, baking spices and toasted oak, before developing orange zest, crystallized ginger and dried fruits that linger in the finish.

When matured exclusively in Oloroso sherry seasoned oak casks from Jerez, Spain, our rich, fruity and full bodied ‘new make’ spirit is transformed into an iconic single malt. Once filled, the maturing spirit remains undisturbed in the same casks for 18 years and is brought together in this rich and complex single malt characterised by mature oak, ginger and raisin flavours.

When The Macallan Lead Whisky Maker, Sarah Burgess met with world’s renowned Artist Sir Peter Blake it was a meeting of two minds, inspiring the careful selection of casks to create a complex yet perfectly balanced single malt. Macallan’s collaboration with Sir Peter Blake began in 1986 when he designed a label for a set of twelve 1926 60 Years Old single malts. The label artwork in Blake’s signature style reflects the time that the sherry-seasoned cask was laid down to patiently mature at our Distillery during the 1920s. In 2012 we collaborated again to celebrate 80 years of Sir Peter Blake. The resulting piece of art is like a treasure trove of colour and stories, containing eight whisky miniatures, each with a label reflecting a particular decade of Sir Peter Blake’s life, surrounded by intricate artwork representing our whisky making process.

For this 3rd collaboration release, the label that adorns this limited edition single malt has been created by Sir Peter Blake digitally. Taking inspiration from Sir Peter, the presentation box has been created with colours that inspired his art – blue and green with natural textures. The presentation box houses the bottle, a certificate detailing the history and heritage on which the art was based, and artwork printed on a scroll. This brightly coloured scroll contains a collage representing anecdotes from the wider collection, portrayed in Sir Peter Blake’s distinct style. A tracing paper overlay provides information on each character from The Macallan’s history that Sir Peter chose to include in his art.

With a nose Rich in dried fruits and spices with hints of orange and clove. Dried fruits again on the palate, with cracked black pepper and treacle, accents of vanilla and orange oil. A long, rich oak finish with cinnamon and cacao.

M Copper is part of The Macallan M Collection, created to showcase The Macallan’s Six Pillars which encompass our guiding principles of mastery, artisanship and creativity. This limited release is an ode to the Curiously Small Stills that play an integral role in how we craft our precious spirit. Our Curiously Small Stills are one of the defining features of our distillation process. The curiously small stills give the spirit perfect contact with the copper, which helps to concentrate our ‘new make’ spirit and create the rich and robust character that The Macallan single malts are renowned for.

As the liquid is heated in the stills, the alcohol within boils and turns to vapour, travelling over the neck of the still, where it cools and is condensed back into liquid. In larger and taller stills the alcohol vapour has a long way to travel, resulting in heavier vapours falling back into the boil and only the lighter vapours finding their way into the condenser. With small stills we can collect a dense and rich style of spirit, as the alcohol vapour does not travel as far.

Distilling our full-bodied spirit ensures that we can mature our whiskies for a long time, allowing the spirit to soak up all the intricate flavours of our oak wood casks. With 100% natural colour, this single malt whisky has unique flavours of pear and white peach, and a smooth mouth feel with a finish of toasted oak.

The Macallan M Black is the successor to the incredible Macallan M. This latest release is a peated and subtly smoky expression of the famous Speyside single malt, crafted in celebration of the distillery’s rich heritage and presented in a black crystal decanter from Lalique, with only 920 decanters produced. Matured in sherry seasoned oak casks and bottled at 45% abv, the Macallan M Black has chocolate coated cherries and fresh citrus on the nose, before notes of chocolate, espresso and dark fruits in the palate, opening to reveal wood spice and more peaty aspects.

The wine has fresh, vibrant, lifted and pure aromas and flavors, with attractive cassis, pepper and licorice on the nose with a hint of nutty spice. The flavors explode with blackcurrant, plums and cinnamon layering over silky tannin and superb length. Bright, lifted and aromatic, with raspberry and chocolate mint characters. Full flavored and elegant, with dark fruit flavors of plum and blackberry, complemented by dark chocolate, licorice and white pepper spice.
