Glenfiddich’s Signature malt, the pioneer of the single malt Scotch whisky category, is renowned for its beautifully balanced nose and refreshingly complex flavour. Over 120 years later, we still use the same water to ensure our single malt retains its character and integrity. Carefully matured in the finest American oak and European oak sherry casks for at least 12 years, it is mellowed in oak marrying tuns to create its sweet and subtle oak flavours. The ‘Rarissismes‘ range is a selection of the best single vintage Cognacs in the Camus’s Cellar, a pure expression of the year, coming in a very limited volume, for a guaranteed outstanding Cognac.
For this 1994 vintage, July and August were extremely favourable to the vines’ development in the little village of Sainte-Meme, located around twenty kilometres northwest of Cognac in the famous Fins Bois cru. Rain in early September gave way to a period of warm, sunny weather enabling harvesting under exceptional conditions and producing rich and perfectly balanced wines.
Camus’ Cellar Master chose precisely the right moment to halt the alchemy working between the character from distillation and the influence of the oak, letting the fresh notes of this Rarissimes 1994 Fins Bois which has reached its peak, express themselves.
Intense gold. Luxuriant, fruity and fresh, it is both intense and delicately spiced with wonderful oak and vanilla notes. A delicate liveliness that begins with fruity notes to develop into flavours of tropical fruit.
This is sourced from 2 small barrels, bottled under Bailiff’s supervision October 1st 2014 after 20 Years in oak, drawing a mere 568L, bringing only 812 bottles available worldwide, all numbered.

The Balvenie DoubleWood 12 year old single malt whisky gains its distinctive character from being matured in two wood types. To make The Balvenie DoubleWood, David Stewart MBE takes whisky that has spent at least 12 years in traditional whisky casks, American Oak ex-Bourbon barrels and hogsheads, and moves it to Spanish oak ex-Oloroso sherry casks for an additional nine months. Each stage lends different qualities to the resulting single malt whisky.
The traditional casks soften and add delicate character, the sherry wood brings depth and fullness of flavour and the final few months in our tuns allow the whiskies to marry harmoniously. Sweet fruit and Oloroso sherry notes, layered with honey and vanilla. Smooth and mellow with beautifully combined flavours, nutty sweetness, cinnamon spiciness and a delicately proportioned layer of sherry.
Cachaca 51 is Brazil’s leading brand of Cachaca with over 240 million liters sold annually, and is the second largest selling spirit in the world. Cachaca is a cane neutral spirit from Brazil that is distilled directly from fermented sugar cane juice. Cachaca 51 is made from the finest varieties of cane crop harvested at the peak of sugar content from the heartland of the plantation area of Brazil.
Cachaca 51 has a pleasant and sweet aroma with notes of fresh apple and sugar cane juice; spicy, with a sweet and herbaceous finishing in flavor. Cachaca was first produced in the 1530’s, soon after Brazil was discovered. This exquisite spirit is distilled from the fresh juice of Brazilian grown sugar canes, and can be enjoyed as part of a variety of cocktails, including the Caipirinha, as well as straight.
Both Cachacas and Rums are made from sugar cane; the difference lies on the requirement that Cachacas can only be made using pure sugarcane juice, when Rums can be made with either sugarcane juice or molasses.

American first-fill oak casks are those that have never before been used to mature whisky.
