Hombo Shuzo 'Ougaku' Shochu is made from 100% select barley, Kannoko, which means ‘river protected by the gods’ in the southern Japanese Kagoshima dialect, is named after a stream in South Kagoshima.
It is aged in oak barrels for three years and has a rich taste. This barley shochu, presented in a beautiful glass bottle, is made by master distiller Satsuma Shuzo. Kannoko has a rich and mellow flavor with a fragrant aroma. Its amber color comes naturally from the three-year oak barrel aging process it undergoes.
The bottle itself centres her signature in the Chivas 18 blue and carries a beautiful detachable accessory with a leather strap and 18K gold plated charms. Inspired by LISA’s style, the charms include the Chivas logo and her iconic star.

This exciting, multiple award-winning whisky by Kamiki takes an innovative step by finishing this blend in Sakura wood, otherwise known as Japanese Cherry Blossom after aging in Yoshino-Sugi casks (also known as ‘Japanese Cedar’).
The effect of the sakura wood on this dram are outstanding. On the nose, it brings ripe banana, candied chestnuts, cinnamon and hints of pine. As you continue to sniff, there’s a distinct warming woodiness reminiscent of a sauna. These combine with a centre palate woodiness, sandalwood and gentle spice, before sweet cherries cut through the more savoury notes, leading to a floral, spring-like finish. A little water brings out hints of hibiscus and Turkish delight, with lingering peppery notes that all mingle elegantly.

Matured for an initial nine years in American white oak ex-Bourbon casks, the spirit is then divided for its final flourish. One half remains in the Bourbon barrels, while the other is transferred to exclusive 30 year old Gonzalez Byass Matusalem oloroso sherry butts before they are reunited to create this great whisky.

Douglas Laing’s Timorous Beastie, immortalised in Robert Burns’ famous Scots poem ‘To a Mouse‘, was a timid, little field mouse. Echoing our national bard’s wit, ours is most certainly not for the fainthearted! This non-coloured, non-chill-filtered Small Batch bottling is a marriage of appropriately aged and selected Highland Malts – including, amongst others, those distilled at Glen Garioch, Dalmore and Glengoyne distilleries.
Overridingly sweet initially, then warming to floral, light barley and spicy honeyed tones. Opens in a spicy style with fructiferous notes of raisin and a sugary, fudgey character. Subtle yet sweet with a real oaky flavour, hints of milky cereals and late meringue.
This 12-year-old Speyside single malt comes from the new Mortlach range, launched in 2018. Known as ‘the Beast of Dufftown’, Mortlach is distilled 2.81 times in a complicated process referred to simply as ‘The Way’. This single malt, dubbed ‘The Wee Witchie’, is matured in American and European oak ex-bourbon and sherry casks before being bottled at 43.4% abv. It’s drawn from bourbon and sherry casks, and packs a hearty punch of meaty Mortlach-y malt at its core, supported by dried fruit and toffee notes. Meaty and sulphurous, this expression showcases the raw character of the distillery.
The Helios distillery in Okinawa Japan may be more well-known for producing rums and awamori (a type of rice-based drink only produced in Okinawa), but they been known to dip their toe in the world of whisky. Kura The Whisky is a blended malt (or as the a label says, a ‘pure malt’) produced by Helios and bottled at 40%.
Intriguing, it displays toasted oak and a touch of moss, creamy lemon and soft malt. This light bodied and the fruity blend was finished in Helios’ finest rum casks. The Kura Whisky holds a good depth of flavour and is a very pleasant whisky indeed.
Sierra Milenario Tequila Reposado, a 100% de Agave tequila, is carefully distilled twice and stored in oak barrels for up to nine months. Barrel storage gives this tequila its warm, golden color. Sierra Milenario Tequila Reposado contains notes sweet fruit, caramel, and subtle spices. A light amber, golden colour. On the nose it is full of the intense fragrance of agaves harmonised with spices such as vanilla. It has an excellent balance of sherry cask and floral fragrances. In the mouth it has strong notes of agave with a subtle hint of pepper. Its finish is long with the subtle memory of sherry cask.
In the first experiment of its kind, Malt Master Brian Kinsman collaborated with Seb Jones, an entrepreneurial Speyside brewer, to create a new craft IPA and pioneer the way for a new kind of single malt Scotch whisky. Brewed in bespoke craft IPA barrels, this single malt expression is imbued with unique zesty citrus notes of ripe green apple, William’s pear and spring blossom. Born in September 2015, Chita Single Grain Japanese Whisky is completely different from the ordinary grain whiskies used in blended whisky. To imbue greater complexity and depth of flavor, Shinji Fukuyo chose to age the Chita grain whisky in wine and Spanish Oak casks, in addition to American White Oak. The result is a milder, smoother grain whisky with unparalleled sophistication and a clean, clear finish.
The full, generous flavours of classic Barossa Shiraz are enhanced by careful use of aged Scotch whisky barrels for finishing. The intense nose offers cedar, vanilla bean and buttered toast with notes of pecan nut and roast cashew. Double Barrel Shiraz has a full and generous palate with a beguiling mix of sweet red fruits and dark chocolate indicative of its origins as Barossa Shiraz. The bouquet is all in progress and in a second moment appear sensations of aromatic herbs such as thyme and sage. The taste-olfactory correspondence is impressive, moreover to the palate is perceived a wonderful crispness together with sapidity. Alie is a full bodied, silky and smooth wine.
