This release is inspired by New Year's Eve in Jerez de la Frontera: a night full of meaning and tradition, known as Nochevieja, or "Old Night."
For this 200th anniversary, we have collaborated with María Melero, born in Jerez, who has captured her memories of the festive season in her hometown as inspiration for the designs that enhance the unique unboxing experience of A Night on Earth.
In many cultures around the world, the year’s end is a time for togetherness. It is a night to be with those we love most, to reflect on what has passed, and to toast to what is to come. With this celebration come traditions and rituals passed down from generation to generation, becoming part of the very soul of a place.
Guinnessa® Foreign Extra Stout is a beer born of a thirst for adventure, tracing its origins back to a recipe for our West India Porter, first set out by Arthur Guinness II in 1801. In the early 1800s, while other breweries were content to stay close to home, we struck out into unchartered territories, braving the perils of sea travel to export our famous black beer across the globe. Brewed with more hops to preserve the beer in the ships’ holds during voyages of four-to-five weeks in tropical climes, the recipe yielded a powerful drink with a complex, fruity bittersweet flavour.

After maturing our whisky for 21 years, their Malt Master adds even warmer and richer flavours by uniquely finishing this single malt in first fill bourbon barrels that once contained rum from the Caribbean. The rum-soaked cask infuses the aged whisky with a spicy warmth and indulgent vanilla and toffee sweetness, the character of the Caribbean shining through. This gives our whisky a sumptuous sweet intensity that is both rich and creamy yet still retains the unmistakable character of Glenfiddich. Great for those expecting a very mature, traditional yet intriguing malt. Initially soft, then brisk, vibrant and drying. New leather and oak nose combine with complex sweet, smoky and subtle ginger flavours in this classic Glenfiddich.

The Balvenie DoubleWood 12 year old single malt whisky gains its distinctive character from being matured in two wood types. To make The Balvenie DoubleWood, David Stewart MBE takes whisky that has spent at least 12 years in traditional whisky casks, American Oak ex-Bourbon barrels and hogsheads, and moves it to Spanish oak ex-Oloroso sherry casks for an additional nine months. Each stage lends different qualities to the resulting single malt whisky.
The traditional casks soften and add delicate character, the sherry wood brings depth and fullness of flavour and the final few months in our tuns allow the whiskies to marry harmoniously. Sweet fruit and Oloroso sherry notes, layered with honey and vanilla. Smooth and mellow with beautifully combined flavours, nutty sweetness, cinnamon spiciness and a delicately proportioned layer of sherry.
Fine Spanish Oloroso wood and American oak are used to mature this rich, intriguingly fruity and robust oak expression, but there are many more reasons why this expression is special. Every batch is individually numbered and carefully watched over. Each has extraordinary consistency and character from an intense marrying period, and a warming, distinguished finish. A truly exceptional single malt, the result not just of eighteen years of care and attention, but of whisky-making craft and knowledge passed down through the generations.

Monkey Shoulder is born of one of the oldest whisky-making Scottish families in the world, William Grant & Sons. Still family-owned today, William Grant & Sons has been distilling the finest Scotch whiskies since 1887. Early in the 2000s, the team at William Grants recognized an opportunity to bring the world of Scotch to a much bigger audience through championing cocktails and mixed drinks as a new way to enjoy Scotch. With this brief in mind, an epic blend of Scotch malt whiskies was chosen to create the perfect whisky for mixing, and as you will see from our bottle, the blend that was chosen was called batch 27.
The whisky unfolds with rich notes of honey, ripe red fruits, and dark chocolate, complemented by toffee and a subtle hint of Port wine. The nose presents inviting aromas of ripe berries, vanilla, and delicate spices, while the palate reveals a harmonious blend of dried fruit, honey, and a gentle spiciness. The finish is smooth and warming, making it an ideal choice for sipping neat or on the rocks. This expression exemplifies The Balvenie’s dedication to craftsmanship and offers a sophisticated experience for whisky connoisseurs.
