Inspired by Sir Alexander’s own hand-written notes, this is blended from the exclusive Johnnie Walker reserve of rare whiskies, all of which have been matured for a full 21 years.
Assured, balanced and elegant, it has intriguing layers of intensity that are both surprising and delightful. Sweet honey and tempered spices come cloaked in warming smoke. Citrus zest, ripened tropical fruits and caramel swirl within hints of tobacco and raisins. The long, smooth, soothing finish is complex and fascinating – a myriad of influences played out over a subtle tapestry of peatiness.
The Balvenie Caribbean Cask 14 year old single malt whisky has been matured in traditional oak whisky casks for 14 years, and then ‘finished’ in casks that previously held Caribbean rum. To create the ideal finish Malt Master David C. Stewart MBE filled American oak casks with his own blend of select West Indian rums.
When he judged the casks to be ready, the rum was replaced with the 14 year old spirit and the wood was put to work adding the final touches. The result is an exceptional single malt whisky with the traditional smooth, honeyed character of The Balvenie married with notes of toffee and a hint of fruit, with a warm, lingering finish.

The Macallan Sherry Oak 25 years old forms part of our Sherry Oak range which features a series of single malt whiskies matured in hand-picked sherry seasoned oak casks from Jerez for richness and complexity. This special single malt delivers an intensely rich and full flavour character, citrus, dried fruits and wood smoke. The is an extremely rare whisky, available very sporadically.
This distinguished single malt is matured for twenty-five years in Oloroso sherry seasoned oak casks from Jerez, Spain. Laying undisturbed in the same casks for a quarter of a century, the maturing spirit transforms to create this luxurious single malt whisky characterised by its rich flavours of vanilla, dried fruits and ginger spice with a long finish and rich mahogany colour.
2005 was an exceptional vintage, and Chateau Croizet-Bages display its great potential. The wine has a dark ruby color, with aromas of ripe blackcurrant and some notes of spice on the nose. Good volume in the mouth, excellent material, rich, with beautiful tannins.

This great wine is made for cellaring. It is slowly following its evolutionary path. It oscillates between periods of closure and openness during which one discovers a vast aromatic palette filled with a mix of black fruits, the scents of woody underbrush, and hints of minerals. The tannins have a strong presence and the acidity provokes a fresh finish in the mouth. Its anticipated maturity is without a doubt in 15 to 25 years.

The 2016 La Mission Haut-Brion is a blend of 57.5% Merlot and 42.5% Cabernet Sauvignon. Deep garnet-purple in color, it is just a little muted to begin, soon unfurling to reveal slowly growing scents of crushed blackcurrants, black cherries, dark chocolate and candied violets with nuances of crushed rocks, tobacco leaf, forest floor and fragrant earth plus a hint of bergamot. Medium-bodied and exquisitely elegant, the palate offers perfectly ripe, fine-grained tannins and tons of freshness with layer upon layer of perfumed fruit and a very long, ferrous-laced finish.

Its deep ruby red color acts as a prelude to scents of wild red berry fruits and floral aromas of violets and broom, as well as balsamic hints and those of underbrush. Its development on the palate is harmonious yet incisive, more dynamic than muscular, and more mineral than tangy, with fine-grained tannins and lively freshness sustaining the tight, elegant fruit. The aromatic finish is deliciously persistent. Not only the usual Fiorentina steak or rosticciana of pork. Our Riserva has energy and intensity in spades, and can be paired magnificently with oven-baked vegetable dishes, as well as with game, offal, and braised or stewed meats; if necessary, it can stand up to the aromatic force of truffles or that of very mature cheeses.

KI NO BI SEI is made according to the same intricate production method as the original KI NO BI, using 11 botanicals distilled in six distinct flavour categories, known as the 6 Elements. The final blend has been recalibrated by our distilling team to bring out the best of each botanical at the higher strength. This bottling is at the traditional Royal Navy strength of 54.5% abv, often confused with 100 proof, or 57.1% abv.
In contrast with the original KI NO BI, which has a delicate and gentle profile, KI NO BI SEI has a thicker mouthfeel and full-bodied flavour, which works well in cocktails.
KI NO BI uses juniper, orris and hinoki as its base ingredients. These constitute our gin’s basic flavour structure, and account for more than half of the botanicals used. KI NO BI includes yuzu and lemon among its botanicals. Yuzu is a Japanese citrus fruit, giving our gin a distinctive flavour when distilled. Sansho pepper and kinome give KI NO BI an oriental and spicy aroma, which mainly features on the finish.
The higher strength allows the distinctive taste of KI NO BI’s flavour profile to prevail. At first, it is punchy on the palate but retains KI NO BI’s trademark purity and harmony in perfect balance. An outstanding gin for cocktails.

This exciting, multiple award-winning whisky by Kamiki takes an innovative step by finishing this blend in Sakura wood, otherwise known as Japanese Cherry Blossom after aging in Yoshino-Sugi casks (also known as ‘Japanese Cedar’).
The effect of the sakura wood on this dram are outstanding. On the nose, it brings ripe banana, candied chestnuts, cinnamon and hints of pine. As you continue to sniff, there’s a distinct warming woodiness reminiscent of a sauna. These combine with a centre palate woodiness, sandalwood and gentle spice, before sweet cherries cut through the more savoury notes, leading to a floral, spring-like finish. A little water brings out hints of hibiscus and Turkish delight, with lingering peppery notes that all mingle elegantly.
Kamiki is a unique blended malt whisky made using Japanese malts whiskies combined with specially selected malt whiskies from around the world.
Ballantine’s 17yo is packed with flavour and opens with a nose of sweet caramel, vanilla and wooded notes. There is also a delicate smoky note that wafts through and mingles really well with the sweeter notes. It is dull and reassuring, giving the brighter flavours a backboard to bounce off. The palate is elegantly sweet. Caramel, vanilla and big notes of honey take over. These give it a smooth and mellow mouth feel as well. The honey is earthy and thick, with a really lovely orchard flavour to it. it ties in well with oak flavours and a little hint of spice that also appears. There is a dash of cinnamon and nutmeg that combine everything together and give a lovely warming sensation to the smoke.
The white of the vintage is the 2016 Domaine de Chevalier Blanc, which comes from a high-density planting of 30-year-old vines located west and south of the town of Leognan. A blend of 75% Sauvignon and 25% Semillon raised in 35% new barrels, it offers a massive bouquet of crushed citrus, salty minerality, white flowers, and grapefruit. Racy, full-bodied, concentrated and beautifully textured, it’s a brilliant wine that has more flesh and texture than the 2015 and will keep for two decades or more. Hats off to the team at Domaine de Chevalier for this brilliant, brilliant white!
