At  first, it has a distinctly fruity bouquet, with clear hints of blackberry, accompanied by various other woodland berries. The floral notes of violet and wild rose are omnipresent in Brunello di Castelgiocondo. Spicy, straight, fresh, with hints of cocoa beans and undergrowth alongside nutmeg and the inevitable varied spicy sensations. On the palate, its tannic texture is very dense and supported by a generous body, in a very satisfying balance of flavours.

Aged for 24 months in oak barrels, The Tenuta Calimaia Vino Nobile di Montepulciano is an intense ruby-red colour to the eye. The nose has clear notes of red fruits: cherry and sour cherry at the outset, followed by intense notes of aromatic herbs and spices, among which sage, cardamom and pink pepper stand out. Finally, dark chocolate aromas are accompanied by hints of licorice. To start off, its body is generous, voluminous and fresh on the mouth at the same time. The tannic texture is dense and soft. Remarkable consistency between the aroma and flavour, and very long intense aromatic persistence.

Tenuta Frescobaldi di Castiglioni beautiful, bright ruby-red colour with tinges of purple. The nose reveals fruity notes of cherry, blackberry, blueberry and mulberry. Equally marvellous are the spiced notes of cinnamon and star anise and light hints of black pepper. More general tertiary and toasted notes then emerge. It is soft and enveloping on the palate. The tannins are resolved. The finish is long and persistent.

With a beautiful pale pink colour, the nose stands out intense fruity and floral scents such as peach, rose and peony. Citrus notes perfectly integrated in the context give a wonderful crispness even more accentuated by delicate iodine hints. The bouquet is all in progress and in a second moment appear sensations of aromatic herbs such as thyme and sage. The taste-olfactory correspondence is impressive, moreover to the palate is perceived a wonderful crispness together with sapidity. Alie is a full bodied, silky and smooth wine.
