The Abercrombie is Howard Park Wines finest Cabernet Sauvignon. In most years the wine is a blend of grapes sourced from the Abercrombie vineyard in Mount Barker and the Leston vineyard in Margaret River. our long term commitment to and passion for grape growing in the two major premium grape growing regions of Western Australia is reflected in this wine.

Named after Jeff Burch’s Great-Grandfather Walter Abercrombie, this Howard Park flagship Cabernet Sauvignon is noted for its outstanding structural complexity and exceptional elegance. It combines the austere dusty earth and blackcurrant aromas from Mount Barker, with the classic rich fruit and chocolaty palette of Margaret River. Together they produce an elegantly balanced Cabernet Sauvignon with mature ripe tannins backed up by quality French oak. Careful long term cellaring will realize this wine’s full potential. The 2016 was matured for 22 months in French barriques (60% new).

Characters include blackcurrant, mint, leaf, eucalyptus and black olive with other nuances of cigar box, cedar, chocolate, tobacco, coffee and mocha. Light bodied, bright and bursting with clean, clear flavours of lime and Granny Smith Apple. Mouth-watering acidity and savoury, pithy texture draw out the palate, making it an ideal foil to fresh seafood dishes.

Site : The Premiers Crus vineyards of Domaine Chanson are aged in casks in the Bastion cellars. This cuvée is a blend of grapes sourced from selected plots among the Premiers Crus of the domaine located on the hill of Beaune.

The Vintage 2022 : After a winter characterized by marked variations in temperature between January and February, spring started with mild temperatures. A sequence of cold weather in April was followed by warm temperatures in May but the lack of water was very noticeable and could not be compensated by the rainy storms of June. Summer was marked by several and long heat waves and the storms of the end of August were most welcome. The harvest at Chanson started on August 30 with a team of 100 persons and ended on September 13. 2022 vintage was quite generous both in volume and quality and the white wines are well-balanced, precise and refreshing.

Tasting : Pale gold colour. Floral fragrances mixed with aromas of exotic and pale fleshed fruit. Beautiful minerality. Well-balanced and complex. Precise and deep texture. Elegant oak note. Beautiful fruit expression. Long and refreshing finish with delicate spicy notes.

Food pairing : Seafood, fish, white meat and some goat cheeses.

This show a golden colour, distinctive of black grape varieties ; very fine bubbles. The nose offers beautiful aromatic complexity ; ripe fruit and spicy aromas ; hints of roasted apples, apple compote and peaches. Subtle combination of structure, length and vivacity ; bubbles like velvet ; pear, brioche and spicy aromas, notes of fresh walnut.

Bright ruby colour. Intense aromas of ripe red berries mixed with spices and vanilla. Complex and well-balanced with a tight and deep texture. Well-shaped tannins. Long and spicy aftertaste.  Great with red meat grilled or en sauce and all sorts of cheeses, especially our local cheeses like Epoisses, Citeaux and Langres.

Aged for about a year in oak, the wine has a beautiful red burgundy dress with garnets notes. Fine and supple, this wine reveal on the palate a round and smooth body. Served at 16 degrees, it will be delicious to accompany cooked meats, roasted meat and grilled fish.

The G.A.M. Shiraz comes from the Chinese Block vineyard which is located in the Willunga district at the southern end of McLaren Vale. Aged for 18 months, this is a powerful and extremely focused wine with great depth of fruit character that is well framed by fine grain tannin, and drawn together to a long finish by naturally balanced acidity. G.A.M. represents the first initial of each of the Mitolo children’s first names – Gemma, Alex and Marco.

Rich and concentrated, deliciously fleshy and full bodied with plush yet granular texture. The fruits of the nose carry through on the palate and complex savoury notes develop in the glass, adding layers to the wine. Firm yet supportive tannins marry perfectly, giving ample structure and length, delivering a smooth, dry-textured finish.

The bouquet is intense and refined, with aromas of cranberries, pomegranate, and oriental spices mingling with aromatic herbs. On the palate, it offers elegant notes of red cherry, blueberries, and pastry, with well-integrated tannins and a persistent finish enriched by spices and black forest fruits.  Ideal with rich dishes such as roast pork with garlic and sage or courses based on mushrooms and wild herbs.

The Bargylus Red is composed of two-thirds Syrah, and one-third a combination of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Bargylus is an essentially Mediterranean wine with a surprisingly singular style. At no point does the Syrah dominate, the natural tendencies of this varietal having been suppressed by the intense terroir. Here Syrah expresses less black fruit and pepper, with a greater emphasis on floral aromas and a bias towards peony. Deep purple hue, the nose is complex with notes of spices & truffles. There is precision in the mouth with excellent balance between the integrated tannins, the elegant fruit and mineral freshness. The finish is powerful and sustained.

Crafted from organically-grown grapes

La Grande Année Rosé 2015 is a blend of 11 crus, predominantly 62% of Pinot Noir from Verzenay, Aÿ and Mareuil-sur-Aÿ and 38% of Chardonnay from Chouilly and Avize. The blend includes 5 % red wine from La Côte aux Enfants parcel.

Fermentation takes place entirely in oak barrels, and the wine is aged, sealed with a natural cork, for more than twice the time required by the appellation. The dosage is moderate, 8 grams per litre.

The 2015 vintage promises excellence, and La Grande Année Rosé 2015 reflects this beautifully. With delicate pink hues, its nose bursts with fresh strawberry, mandarin, and rhubarb. It’s silky and juicy on the palate, leading with stone fruits and finishing with blood orange notes. Elegantly tannic with a subtle, velvety finish, this wine captures the essence of the forest and woodland.

This pinot has a brilliant ruby color with elegant flavors of red fruits, cherries and blackcurrants. Spicy notes lead to a finish that shows elegance and balance, while the fruit and subtle oak show the nobility of Pinot Noir.

Crafted from organically-grown grapes

It is a beautiful, brilliant straw-yellow colour in appearance with a particularly fine and persistent perlage. The very thin string of bubbles are pleasing to the palate, creating that pleasant sensation we call creaminess. The bouquet is very complex and is initially dominated by notes of cedar and bergamot, while hints of passion fruit blend with floral notes of iris, acacia and orange blossom. The following aromas are characterised by obvious scents of wildflower honey and candied citrus fruits and the finish explodes with hints of pastry and bread crust. In the mouth it is clean, fresh and minerally, and the final taste is very persistent.
