Deep ruby in colour with purple reflections and a broad and bright ochre rim. On the nose, an inviting bouquet of fine wild berries, a hint of currants, floral nuances, some nougat, and lime. The palate is juicy and elegant, with fine fruit expression, a core of fresh acidity, ripe integrated tannins and notes of red cherries on a saline-mineral finish. Harmonious, one of the great Spanish classics.

The 2016 La Chapelle de La Mission Haut-Brion, crafted with 42% Cabernet Sauvignon, 36.5% Merlot, and the rest Cabernet Franc, is just as captivating from bottle as it was from barrel. Fresh, silky and inviting, the Chapelle is all class. Floral notes lead into a core of expressive red cherry and plum fruit. Medium in body, silky and exquisite in its balance, the 2016 has so much to recommend it. I would prefer to give the wine a few years in bottle to allow a broader range of aromas and flavors to develop, but even today, the Chapelle is gorgeous. The 21% Cabernet Franc in the blend adds striking brightness and perfume throughout.

The 2014 Labegorce is one those “dark horses” of the vintage, a wine that has a prosperous future. It has a lovely, very pure and sensual bouquet with lifted redcurrant and wild strawberry scents that really evoke the essence of Margaux. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin, great acidity, good concentration with a satisfying raspberry preserve-infused finish that demonstrates superb persistence. I adored this Labegorce from barrel and now in bottle it does nothing to disprove my initial enthusiasm.

A wine of sublime elegance and finesse, the 2017 Cheval Blanc is endowed with tremendous energy, precision and cut. Red/purplish fruit, mint, sage, blood orange, star anise and exotic spice notes abound in a mid-weight, finely cut Cheval that dazzles with its energy. Technical Director Pierre-Olivier Clouet gave the 2017 26-27 days on skins. Because of severe frost damage, in 2017, the Grand Vin includes a high percentage of Cabernet Sauvignon (14%), from gravelly soils, which gives the wine very unusual flavor and structure profile. The 2017 Cheval Blanc has all the ingredients to be one of the wines of the vintage.

This wine is crafted from Merlot vines planted in our vineyards in 1997, along with a small percentage of Petit Verdot, a variety we have been cultivating since 2006. The name "3055" is a nod to Jean Leon’s New York cab license number, revealing the man behind the legend: an idealist who rose from humble beginnings to achieve his dream of opening the most famous restaurant in Hollywood and creating his own namesake wine.

A youthful expressiveness, with seductive silky complexity and dark fruit flavours from our vineyards across the Marlborough region. With Pinot Noir the fruit is always the primary focus. Marlborough’s warm days and cool nights make it an ideal climate for growing the famously temperamental grape. Matured in French oak barrels the result is fragrant, soft, and flavorful, with aromas of ripe cherries and sweet fruit tannins that provide structure and length. Elegant, cool climate Pinot Noir at its best.

Pale straw in colour with a lively green tinge. The nose displays freshly crushed grapes, with lemon scents and a hint of musk. The palate is lively and fresh as one would expect from a frizzante style wine. The palate tastes of freshly crushed grapes with just a squeeze of lemon & ginger on the finish. The fruit was picked and pressed cold, in new state of the art bag presses. Juice was left to settle naturally and then racked clean. The wine was fermented cold to retain fresh fruit characters. Fermentation was stopped once a balance was reached between alcohol, sweetness, acidity and bubbles.
The 2016 Figeac, crafteed with 38% Cabernet Sauvignon, 36% Merlot, and the rest Cabernet Franc, was bottled at the end of July 2018, since Frederic Faye wanted to give the wine more time in barrel to develop more harmony. The stunning 24-carat bouquet rivets you to the spot with brilliant delineation and mineral-rich red fruit that articulates its terroir as well as any Right Bank you will find. The palate is medium-bodied with svelte tannin, perfect acidity, wonderfully integrated new oak and enormous depth toward the fresh, pencil-box- and cedar-infused finish. This is a classic Figeac, up there with the 1947 and 1949, both recently re-tasted and testifying to a wine that genuinely belongs among the elite Saint-Emilions. Faye believes it is the best Figeac he has ever made.

The Louis XIII Classic decanter has remained the ultimate expression of Remy-Martin finest eaux-de-vie blend since 1874, containing up to 1,200 eaux-de-vie from Grande Champagne terroir – the Premier Cru of the Cognac region. Those eaux-de-vie are carefully blended over the years to create the cognac inside every LOUIS XIII Classic decanter. Provenance and time are the very essence of LOUIS XIII cognac. Each drop represents a finely tuned craft passed down from one generation of Cellar Master to the next.
Hand-crafted by skilled artisans from the finest European crystal houses, each decanter is individually numbered and unique. The distinctive design, featuring a 20-carat gold neck and 10 distinctive spikes on each side, is inspired by a 16th-century flask uncovered from the site of the Battle of Jarnac, France, and later owned by LOUIS XIII founder, Paul-emile Remy Martin.
The LOUIS XIII Classic decanter is beautifully presented in a signature red display case with contemporary design features while retaining the iconic red colour. The coffret offers a new opening experience that recalls the moment in a gastronomic restaurant when the cloche is lifted to reveal the delights within. Medium-bodied, the palate is elegant, refreshing and refined, with a compelling line of soft, grainy tannins and lots of perfumed accents, finishing fragrant.

Camus Borderies VSOP is a Single-Estate Cognac produced exclusively from Camus’ own magnificent vineyards in the very heart of the prestigious Borderies Appellation.
Borderies is the oldest and smallest cru in the appellation, representing less than 5% of the cognac AOC. With its 188 hectares (464 acres), Camus owns the largest extension of vineyards belonging to one single producer within the Cru. Thanks to their unique clay-limestone soil rich in flints, our parcels in the Borderies Cru give origin to a very distinctive Single Estate VSOP, with deep floral notes.
Beautiful, consistent orange color with flashes of rich amber. The nose reveals enticing notes of vanilla pods and orange zest, on a bed of soft spice and floral aromas. Ample and unctuous, with a robust yet elegant structure and a light hint of woodiness. Beautiful, long finish, well-balanced and wonderfully fresh.
The nose is characterized by wood, the fruit behind it is a mix of red and dark berries, a hint of cream resonates, fine and becoming more and more beautiful with air. Straight in the beginning, with just the right concentration, good structure, distinctive, slightly drying tannins, the wine is lively and fresh, has a red-fruity, pleasantly long finish.

An astonishing effort from the Rothschild family, the 2009 l’Evangile may be the reference point offering from this estate for decades to come. A blend of 95% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Franc aged in 100% new oak, with 15% natural alcohol, it exhibits a sumptuous bouquet of caramels, black raspberry liqueur, blackberries, violets, graphite and truffles. Thick, viscous flavors are reminiscent of such super-ripe vintages as 1982, 1959, 1949 and 1947.
The striking aromatics, massive, full-bodied mouthfeel and multilayered palate that resembles a skyscraper in the mouth offer an abject lesson in great winemaking, extraordinary terroir, and the ability to combine power with precision, elegance and freshness. This is unquestionably a huge wine, but it also possesses mind boggling complexity and finesse.

A blend of 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Franc, the deep purple-black colored 2017 Angelus is a little closed to begin, opening out beautifully to notes of baked plums, fresh blackberries and chocolate-covered cherries with hints of mocha, bay leaves, beef drippings and wood smoke plus a touch of roses. Medium to full-bodied with a great density of mid-palate fruit and firm, fine-grained tannins, it finishes long and earthy with a compelling lift.

Sourced exclusively from the village of Sancerre, this is fresh, clean and screaming with racy acidity. On the palate it is fresh and tightly wound; acidity is tempered by very subtle residual sugar; very clean; alive, racy, youthful. A dry and extremely elegant wine. Full of fruity vibrance, this is a beautifully-crafted Sauvignon Blanc with power, elegance and finesse in perfect balance.
Crafted from organically-grown grapes
A blend of 54% Merlot, 42% Cabernet Sauvignon and 4% Petit Verdot, the deep garnet-purple colored, 2017 Palmer gives a very serious nose of pronounced blackcurrant cordial, warm plums and blackberry preserves with hints of cedar chest, pencil shavings, violets, dark chocolate and star anise plus exotic wafts of sandalwood and cassia. Medium-bodied, the palate features fantastically vibrant, crunchy black fruits with a firm texture of ripe, grainy tannins and tons of freshness, finishing very long and mineral laced. It will need a good 5-7 years to really blossom with all those tightly wound nuances, but it should be a stunner!

The 2009, which has an opaque ruby/purple color, an extraordinary nose of high-quality unsmoked cigar tobacco, graphite, blackcurrants and spice, hits the palate with a medium to full-bodied, saturated and rich mouthfeel, but an elegant and ethereal quality that is difficult to articulate. It is rich, complex and tastes as if it were the vinous equivalent of a remarkable haute couture creation from the late Coco Chanel. It is full-bodied yet elegant, powerful yet delicate, and remarkably velvety-textured, sumptuous and loaded with upside potential. It can be approached now, as most 2009s tend to be, given their richness of fruit, low acidity and extraordinary concentration, but the great complexity that will emerge from this fabulous terroir is at least a decade away, and this wine is set for 50 or more years of longevity.

The 2009 Chateau Pape Clement reveals a saturated ruby/purple color as well as an upfront, complex bouquet of blackcurrants, chocolate, lead pencil, earth, and graphite. It’s full-bodied and powerful, yet stays seamless and silky on the palate, with a beautiful sense of elegance. With ripe tannins, beautiful balance, and a great finish, it has the sexy, opulent style of the vintage front and center. You can safely drink this fabulous wine anytime over the coming 2-3 decades.

The 2016 Pavie a blend of 60% Merlot and 40% Cabernet Franc. Very deep purple-black in color, it needs a little coaxing to begin, slowly unfurling to reveal a fragrant perfume of violets, chocolate-covered cherries, crushed blueberries and eucalyptus over a core of preserved plums, kirsch, black raspberries and creme de cassis plus hints of licorice and chargrilled meat. Full-bodied and built like a brick house, it has a solid foundation of firm, super ripe, grainy tannins and seamless freshness interknit with the black fruit preserves and minerally layers, finishing very long and very decadent. Superb!
