This wine arose from the innovative drive of Miguel A. Torres, who planted the French variety of Cabernet Sauvignon in the Penedes region at the end of the 1960s and early 1970s, when normal practice was to plant local white varieties. This is aged for 12 months minimum in French oak, with 30% new.

With its deep ruby color and rich, complex character, Torres Gran Coronas Cabernet Sauvignon offers aromas of ripe blackberries, cassis, and subtle hints of cedar and spice. On the palate, expect robust flavors of dark fruit, tobacco, and dark chocolate, supported by firm tannins and well-integrated oak.
