Domaine Chanson Mercurey 1er Cru Rouge is a vibrant red wine from the renowned Mercurey appellation in Côte Chalonnaise, known for its generous character.

Mercurey is the largest appellation in the Côte Chalonnaise. This premier cru is a blend of grapes from a few well-defined plots with an east-south-east orientation, giving it the structure and generosity typical of the appellation. Under conversion to organic farming starting in 2024.

After carfeul harvest, the wines are aged in oak barrels in the Bastion for 18 months.

Bright ruby colour. Floral fragrances mixed with intense aromas of red fruit (red currant and cherry) mixed with pepper notes. Well-crafted and well-structured. Deep and tight texture. Long and generous aftertaste with crunchy fruit notes.  Cooked pork meats, pâté, pie, grilled or roasted meat, poultry, and all the local cheeses (Epoisses, Langres, Citeaux, BrillatSavarin...) and Comté.
