A predominant grape across the range, Pinot Noir is the pillar of the Bollinger style, and the House has forged its reputation by showcasing this variety. Bollinger PN embodies the ambition to bring to light the variety of expressions of pinot noir by selecting the finest varietal from several terroirs, each contributing a unique component to the overall taste.

The PN edition explores the unique interpretation of pinot noir from specific villages. PN TX 20 is an assembly of 100% Pinot Noir, predominantly from the Grand Cru village of Tauxieres. It is blended with other villages on the Montage de Reims, such as Avenay and Ay. The base year is a 2020, with Reserve wines including 2008 and 2012 make up more than 25% of the blend, and a low 8grs of dosage only. The result of a Blanc de Noirs designed to make terroir the star of the show.

An enticing waft of fragrant spices draws you into the glass, where ripe and juicy black cherry and currant fruit is underscored by a clean swathe of underlying salinity. Details of pickled ginger, crystallized honey, biscuit and white blossoms expand nicely on the plush mousse, which is raw silk–like in feel. This is rich and expressive, with good depth, yet its chiselled acidity provides fine definition throughout. Mouthwatering finish.
