Chateau Lafont is situated in Cartelegue, to the north of the Gironde estuary. The Gombaud family bought the property in 1928 and the current owners are the 3rd generation. “EARL Gombaud et fille” was founded in 1997. The vines are planted on 18.47 ha of clay-and-limestone soils and have an average age of 25 years. Vinification is traditional, with an 18-day vatting time in cement, stainless steel or fibre-glass vats.

Chateau Lafont is a smooth, fruity wine with vanilla-flavoured tannins. Chateau Lafont should be served at a temperature between 16 and 17°C and is the ideal accompaniment to roast or grilled red meat and most cheeses.
