Chateau Moulin des Moines - Haut-Medoc Cru Bourgeois
Chateau Moulin des Moines is a small family property of 4ha in Haut Medoc. Jean Charles revesteau took over the estate after his parents in 1992. Vines were planted in 1992 with 40% Merlot, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon and 20% Petit Verdot on a clay-sandy soil. With an area of 4,270 hectares, the Haut Medoc stretches from the Bordeaux gates to the northern borders of Saint-Estephe. It is classified as ‘Cru Bourgeois’ which rank the best estates in the Medoc.
Aged for about a year in oak, the wine has a beautiful red burgundy dress with garnets notes. Fine and supple, this wine reveal on the palate a round and smooth body. Served at 16 degrees, it will be delicious to accompany cooked meats, roasted meat and grilled fish.
