Clase Azul Tequila Ultra is the crown jewel of our portfolio, with an exquisite tequila and decanter exclusively designed for collectors around the world. From the agave fields to bottling, this is a journey nearly 14 years in the making.

Made from organic Tequilana Weber Blue Agaves which are grown for over 9 years before slow cooking in traditional ovens. The fermentation is done using the company’s secret blend of yeasts, and then comes distillation followed by triple filtration. The incredible liquid spends five years aging, first in American whiskey casks, then in Spanish casks that previously contained sherry, bestowing a sublime touch.

Dark amber with copper highlights, Full body, with sherry, dried plums, apricot, and cherries. Maple syrup, hazelnut, and intense oak. On the palate, it offers dried plums, cinnamon, creme caramel, vanilla, and crystalized ginger. Pair Braised or smoked meats (brisket, beef rib, or pork belly) with a robust sauce (veloute, meat gravy, or sweet mole), Semi-mature cheeses (brie and camembert) and cured meats (salami, pamplona sausage, or stuffed loin), accompanied with bread and a compote of figs or red berries.

The Decanter: Delicately dressed in three precious metals (platinum, silver, and 24-karat gold), Clase Azul Ultra enlists only the most highly skilled artisans to hand paint these incredible vessels practically blind since the metallic paint that is applied can only be seen after the decanter has been fired. Our master artisans paint the platinum-feather design from memory and completely freehand. The mastering of this technique can take years to perfect. A collector’s treasure.

About the Brand

Welcome to the world of Clase Azul. A unique tequila made with the heart and soul of our community of Mexican artisans. From our fertile and spectacular mountains to our artisans' millennial legacy, each decanter of Clase Azul is an artistic tribute to our roots. Clase Azul Tequila is 100% made from Blue Agave, produced at one of the highest points in the state of Jalisco. Its climate and land properties offer a characteristic tequila flavor. Each of our agaves is grown for 6 to 8 years.

Organic agave requires approximately 72 hours of cooking in old masonry ovens. The baking gives the agave core a unique sweetness – easily perceived by the complexity of aroma and flavors. The agave core is ground to extract all the juices and begin the fermentation process, induced by our proprietary yeast. After several days, the tequila is distilled two times, having a wide cut of "heads" and "tails" to ensure our tequila is of the highest quality. Each Clase Azul Tequila decanter is handmade, and hand-painted by our artisans in the small Mexican town of Santa María Canchesda. About 350 of our skilled workers sculpt and paint them individually, using the Mazahua people's ancient techniques. Each ceramic decanter is a one-of-a-kind piece of art that contains our ancestors' art and their millenary legacy.
